Big Piney Creek and the Ozark National Forest offer multitudes of activities for you and your family to enjoy. The Big Piney Creek itself with pristine, clear waters, provides canoeing or kayaking for all skill levels, as well as swimming holes and breath-taking vistas. The surrounding valleys are rich with hiking trails, historical and cultural points, wildlife viewing and scenic rivers.
Just a short trip away you'll find a local source for canoe and raft rentals at Moore Outdoors. Just down the road from them, you'll find Long Pool Recreational Area, a great place to hide away for the day. And if you're seeking something slightly out of the ordinary, even supernatural to some, then you're only 15 miles away from the cultural phenomenon known as the Dover Lights, a must see. Piney Bay recreational park is only 6 miles away for boating, swimming and fishing.
30 miles away is lake dardanelle located in russellville. The Russellville site features a 10,527-square-foot visitor center on the lakeshore overlooking Lake Dardanelle. Interpretive exhibits and state-of-the-art touch screen kiosks share information about the park, the area’s water resources and its history. An aquatic exhibit in the center features six aquariums that hold fish from the lake and the Arkansas River and its tributaries Piney Creek and the Illinois Bayou. The main park also includes a trail. Rental kayaks are available here. And here in the main park area, visitors can enjoy nature programs on a wide variety of topics presented by park interpreters.

A: No, bed linens and towels are provided at your cabin.

A: Yes, Harps is located just 20 miles south on Hwy. 7 in Dover, AR or 8 miles to dollar general in lamar

A: Land lines are not provided. Cell phone service is limited in this area but AT&T customers typically get service while at the cabin.
Q: Is there internet service in the cabin?
A: Yes WIFI
Q: Is firewood for the pit outside provided?
A: yes some wood will be provided ask during booking
Q: What are some local activities?
A: deer and other wild life watching, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, photography, picnicking, scenic drives, fishing, ATV trails, horse riding trails, and much more.
Q: Are alcoholic beverages for sale locally?
A: No, Pope County is a dry county and you will not find alcohol available locally. You may bring your own alcoholic beverages however. We simply ask that you please put any glass bottles in the glass recycling containers provided.
Q: Does the cabin have a hot tub?
A: no, but it has a Jacuzzi tub located in master bath
