Charming Sandy Lake Cottage - Hot tub, Sauna

Step back in time, relax and immerse in nature in our Sandy Lake Charm Cottage overlooking the turquoise waters of Sandy Lake. The cottage is located just across from the best public beach in the Kawarthas - sandy base and gradual depth which is great for young kids. We also frequently host mom getaway weekends.

Hot tub, Sauna, Pet Friendly, Trampoline, Canoe / Kayak, Foosball Table, BBQ, Fire Pit, Board Games and more!

The space sleeps 10.
Main floor:
3 bedrooms and a full bathroom, Fully equipped Kitchen, Family room with dining area and TV .

Lower level:
1 bedroom plus a den, full bathroom and spacious
recreation room with couches, TV, Air Hockey table, Foosball Table, Board Games and more.
Total beds: 1 King, 2 Queens, Bunk Bed (double + twin), 2 double sofa beds Spacious enclosed backyard with BBQ, Fire Pit, Patio, Sauna, Hot Tub, Trampoline, Canoe, Kayak.

4 parking spots on the driveway.
Our cottage is located right across the Sandy Lake public beach with the view of the lake from the property.

We provide toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap, kitchen towels, hand towels, blankets and pillows.

Please bring your own bed linens, bath and beach towels and toiletries. During July and August we only book Saturday to Saturday.

This is the second time my friends and I stayed at the cottage, and we absolutely loved it. The host was extremely accommodating and responsive, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Can't recommend it enough!

We really enjoyed our stay! Having the lake just across the street was such a bonus. The kids were hoping to swim, but it was a bit too cold this time. We still had a great time with the kayaking, jacuzzi, and all the games—especially the table games. I also appreciated how well-equipped the place was, down to the smallest details in the kitchen, even a garlic grinder!

Highly recommend

We (6 adults with children) had a wonderful stay at the cottage – thank you for the cozy atmosphere! The location is absolutely perfect, with a clean and warm lake steps away. We enjoyed using the host’s canoe, relaxed in the hot tub, and grilled delicious kebabs by the fire pit. We’ll definitely be back!

Very comfortable cottage with great amenities & very close to the lake & small public beach with picnic tables. Beach is suitable for young children, with shallow water & sandy bottom. Only negatives were that the road between the cottage & lake can be quite busy, also the chemicals in the hot tub were very strong when we first used it. I would suggest leaving the lid open for about 10 minutes before getting in & operating the jets.

Cozy Home Away from Home!

We really liked the amazing location and the large, well-appointed house with a hot tub and sauna. The owner was very responsive and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend this property!

Wonderful space and amenities

We held a work retreat at this location and it was incredible! Chirs was very helpful and communicative, and our check-in and check-out process was great! We enjoyed the cottage, the location right across from the beach, and the use of the sauna, hot tub and canoe and kayaks! Don't forget the firepit and the beautiful backyard. The front yard is also gorgeous and calming! We loved it! We would love ot return for our annual retreat next year, and highly recommend this place!

Beautiful cottage

If your ever looking for a great place to stay, This is the place it was beautiful, clean close to the water that was clean and clear great cottage with lots to do our kids ranged from 7-12 and there was so much for them to do they didn’t want to leave great relaxing spots for adults place is like a spa oasis recommend to all and I will be going back again for sure

lots of room for 6 adults and 2 kits. Still had 1 bedroom not utilized.Hot tub and sauna were great.

Our week at cottage will be fondly remembered by all nine of us. 6 adults and 2 tweens and 1 teen. Loads of room. Comfy furniture and good beds. Well appointed Kitchen. Lots of lovely outdoor space. Hot tub was fun. Did not use Sauna. One disadvantage was there was no safe place to take dogs for an exercise walk unless drove a bit. The road in front super busy and speed limit not adhered to. Lovely beach area , fun to be directly across from it. Thank you Chris.

A wonderful experience

The property was very well looked after. The host added little thoughtful items like a basket of goodies on the kitchen table with cold drinks, cookies and snacks and miniature bottles of shampoo and soap in the toilets that made us feel welcome and cared for.

Great getaway

We have rented this cottage for 3 years now and it never disappoints our family of 12, from ages 1-63. The kids love the trampoline and how close the beach is to the property. The water is clear and shallow for several meters so we are not afraid the kids will get to any drop off areas. There are little towns with parks, boats, restaurants close by. A free zoo 30 minutes away. The hot tub and sauna are always in great condition. The owners recently changed, but the new owners are very welcoming and set out some baskets in the cottage with some essentials and treats. Overall, this cottage is a great place to stay.

Great stay

The host was very good at communicating. I wish I had asked specifically what size sheets were needed for each bed, as not all the sheets we brought fit, but that was my fault for not asking. Way more amenities on site than we expected such as camping chairs, beach toys, house toys, pack and play etc. Plenty of space for 6 adults and 5 children on our trip. Nice to have the trampoline to keep the kids occupied while we were busy setting things up or making food etc. So close to the beach which was very handy, yet you couldn’t hear the noise of people from the beach which was nice! My only comment would be that the cottage felt a bit damp and could probably use some dehumidifiers going in the summer to help with that. Great stay overall and we will definitely be back!

AMAZING PROPERTY!!!

My wife and I stayed here a week. It was very easy to find using Waze. The property is directly across the street from Sandy Lake Beach. It is very private and serene. Note of caution, we have 2 smalls dogs and went out late in the the backyard. We heard coyotes growling very closely to where we were standing. We didn't take them out to the back yard after dark after this. This is no fault of the owners, just mother nature. The house itself was amazing. It has a very opulent feel to it. It was very relaxing. We had a couple very minor issues and the owners were very quick to reply and help out. We loved our stay and most likely will return in the future. We highly recommend this cottage. :)
