Family owned beautiful four season cottage in a quiet bay situated on almost 1 acre lot with 275 ft of waterfront with huge deck area and sandy beach. Newly renovated and just got on the market.
There are 4 bedrooms (3 queen beds and 1 king bed), 2 sleeping spaces futon in the living room, 2 bathrooms (1st floor shower and 2nd floor bathtub), living room has gas fireplace, laundry is available (washer/dryer).
The kitchen equipped with stainless steel appliances: fridge, stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker (regular and capsule compatible), toaster, airfryer. It includes full set of dishes, glasses, cutlery, pots/pans and general kitchenware.
Patio has propane BBQ (tank is provided).
High speed internet is included with wifi service.
Grounds include deck, sandy beach, paddle boat, portable volleyball and badminton nets, firepit.
Located between Fenelon Falls and Bobcaygeon, 10 min drive to each town, with groceries, LCBO, famous Kawartha Dairy and famous Bigley Shoes (Bobcaygeon)
Not one but FOUR golf courses around, 7, 12, 14 and 21 min drive.
Sturgeon Lake is a fishing paradise, includes giant perch, small/large mouth bass, walleye and of course MUSKIE. You can enjoy fishing giant perch and bass right of the shore of our property.

It was my sons long weekend vacation with his newlywed wife who were married on august 30 2025. They had a few nurses from their wedding party, and they all thought the place was the nicest cottage they had ever been in. Plus the view by the lake was absolutely stunning. We will be definitely booking it next summer for 10 days. They also spent thanksgiving Monday in Fenlon falls at that beautiful park near the lift locks ! Thank you Larisa their host

Beautiful location. Quiet for the Labor Day weekend - surprised and delighted by this! Loved getting into the water at the sandy shore (it was a bit cold so no swimming really). The kids ran in and out of the lake. We loved paddling the kids in the peddle boat. We saw toads, turtles, crawfish and a heron all around the cottage area. We also loved using the easy-to-use kayaks. We enjoyed the 'extras' left for us by our generous hosts. Larisa and David showed us around and their tips were very helpful. Because of a pump, the immediate area near the sandy shore was free of seaweed and reeds. The beds were comfortable and pretty much everything we needed was provided including a crib. (We didn't see a high chair.) There were lots of games for our grandkids aged 7 months - 6 years to play including a playset (slide, swings, mini house). One of our grandkids got a nasty sliver in his finger from the side deck so be careful on the wooden structures. We enjoyed making smores on the fire pit (ban was lifted just before our stay!). Overall, we just loved staying here. The views were great and it felt pretty private since so many cottages didn't seem occupied this weekend. I have nothing negative to say about our stay here. It is highly recommended. Thanks so much Larisa and David!

This cottage was spotless! It accommodated our family of nine very comfortably. The kitchen was so well stocked we didn’t use any of our own utensils or fry pans! The sandy beach area was ideal for our 4 grandchildren and the swimming area was nice and weed free. This one is a repeat visit!

Amazing stay at a beautiful cottage. The beach is perfect for kids. The kids loved playing in the sand and the water is clean and clear. It's in a prefect location to take a day trip into town.

We loved our time at the Sun Bay Cottage. We really appreciated having all the amenities of home. It was great that all the cupboards in the kitchen were labelled. The beach area was perfect for our little granddaughter to play in the sand and the water. The tented eating area outside was great for shade and the perfect place to play games at night. It was wonderful that the tent could be zipped up. The beds were very comfortable. The dock area was great for tying up our boat. We loved being able to boat to the local towns. Thanks for the great stay!

My best cottage rental experience!

Lara and her husband, along with their stunning property, are true gems that are difficult to come by in this business. From even pre-check-in to post-check-out, they were consistent and extremely helpful in their communication and accommodation. From the cleanliness of the property to the attention to detail and tour / welcoming nature of the hosts, it was honestly everything our group could have asked for and more. What impressed me especially was the care and thought they put into improving the experience every time - notably, their continuing efforts to remove the weeds from the bay/dock as per previous comments to have a clean and well-kept swimming area. Everything was explained fully from the beginning and anything that needed to be fixed was addressed right away. You don't think it can get any better, but it does: after we left, one of us realized he had forgotten his hoodie on the property, and Lara took thoughtful measures to bring it back into the city for us and arrange a seamless pick-up. This really just speaks to their character as people and not just hosts. Thanks again and we would love to come back someday! :)

Great location and cottage!

We had another amazing week at the Sun Bay Cottage! The location is perfect and the kids played on the beach and in the water all day. The host is amazing and so easy to contact if you need anything, but since they have thought of everything you never need to contact them.

A great spot to spend time with family

From the first communication to arrival any questions or queries were answered promptly. When we opened the door there was a view of the waterfront from the bay to right across the lake through a huge picture window. Fishing, swimming, and many hours of playing in the sand for a 3 and 6 year old. Large grassy front yard offered space for playing with many areas to sit and relax Coffee on the dock was beautiful and so peaceful Living space was spacious for 8 adults and 2 children and two bathrooms worked out just fine. Our hosts were kind, gracious and very accommodating. We would have no problem returning to such a lovely spot. Thank you Lara for all you did to make our family vacation a success!

Perfect house for a large family group

The house and grounds were exactly as listed. Very well appointed, comfortable and roomy. We enjoyed being able to sit down together as a large group in the dining area. The deck and the yard leading down to the lake were spacious. The swimming was poor in spite of efforts to clear the weeds near the tiny beach and dock. It is the entire reason for a less than 5 rating. This is not the place for those that like to swim..

Great cottage!

We had a great time staying at Sun Bay Cottage! The whole family enjoyed the lakefront property and all the amenities it came with. We all enjoyed taking the kayaks on the water and making fires each night. The kitchen is stocked with all the essentials which made the meal preparations so easy. Thank you Larisa! We had a great time and hope to be back next year!

We had a wonderful family time at this cottage!!! It was perfect for our family and we had a great time!! So many extra things to do. Amazing Vacation

This was our first time at Sun Bay Cottage and we could not have been happier. The place is wonderful, easy to get to and fully stocked with anything you could need. The location was so handy for quick runs into town or just for an outing, there are so many attractions around. The cottage is beautiful, the kids loved the swimming and building sand castles, the grass lawn was like walking on carpet. The hosts are amazing, they met us at check in and were available if we needed anything. They are truly ‘premier host’ and have thought of everything you might need. Can’t wait to go back.

Amazing place to relax

Our second time here at the sun bay cottage. the hosts are so nice and keep the place very clean and comfy. Amazing for both adults and kids. the sand area is prefect to play in and the kayaks and paddle boards are perfect for some time on the water. The town is just around the corner and has fun activates all summer long.

Ideal getaway for all ages

Our stay at the cottage was fantastic! With a group of 8, including both adults and children, we enjoyed every moment. The property offered great water activities and a spacious yard perfect for kids. Nights by the fire pit were a highlight, and the comfortable, well-equipped home had everything we needed. Beautiful location

Big house, well stocked kitchen, located 10 min from both Fenelon Falls and Bobcaygeon which both have beaches. Water at this property was not suitable for swimming due to the weeds. Excellent outdoor spaces for eating and sitting to admire the view. We went kayaking everyday. Hosts left us a lovely gift of wine. This place was super clean. Great campfire area. Gorgeous lakeside views. Only drawback was that we had to go out to buy toilet paper.

An Amazing Cottage and Host

We had a wonderful time at this amazing cottage. Lara provided an effective and concise orientation and was very attentive to any questions we had during our stay. We loved the nice grassy area for playing games, the outdoor gazebo with screens and a big table, and lots of other outdoor seating.

Great stay

The cottage was great, although at the time we were there, the algae kind of wrecked the swimming,T.V. area was not comfortable for our whole group of 8 to watch a movie at the same time., but fit 4 comfortably. The one bed in the room with just a dresser was very uncomfortable,and very hot with the door closed. Could use a fan.. We loved the gazebo on the deck, and the closeness to a really great golf course. The hosts were great, and made themselves available for any needs.All in all our time was very enjoyable.
