This water access cottage (boat access from marina, no boat provided, bring own or use water taxi from marina) is a charming retreat in the middle of beautiful Canadian Shield landscape. It is located near the end of West Bay on gorgeous Lake Weslemkoon and faces west so you can enjoy truly spectacular sunsets from the deck. The property is quite private, with the Owners own cottage next door but not visible and a quiet family cottage on the other side of a small bay. This is a boat-in wilderness cottage built in the 1970's by the previous owner with natural forest and wonderful deep lake swimming from the dock. Children are welcome and our kids love it but it may not be suitable for very small children. Well behaved pets are also most welcome. Parking and a water taxi service are available for additional fees through Weslemkoon Marina. If the Owners are staying next door, they will pick you up at the marina, please enquire. The rear of the property backs onto great hiking trails to uninhabited lakes. Enjoy the rustic charm of a traditional cottage with a beautiful pine interior where selective updates have been done in keeping with the spirit of old school cottaging. There is a large new deck overlooking the lake and a cozy new wood stove for chilly evenings. There is a small bathroom with a sink, toilet and a shower (with hot water). The original kitchen is in place with expanded counters and a new refrigerator but no dishwasher. The large lake and open bay out front are great for water sports. There is a TV for movies, traditional board games and lots of books for reading. There are 3 bedrooms, one with a double brass bed, and 2 other bedrooms that are connected and open to each other - one with a single twin bed and one with 2 twin beds. There is a dock suitable for mooring of a boat if you want bring your own and great deep water swimming (but may not be suitable for very small children). Of course the autumns are beautiful with great colours and few bugs!

About Patricia Milne
This is a family cottage that we use for guests and the occasional rental. We also own and stay in the cottage next door and are generally available should you need anything. We have 2 girls, ages 11 and 16, a dog and a cat.
Why Patricia Milne chose Addington Highlands
We fell in love with the lake after renting here and purchased our cottage several years ago. We often found it hard to find nice cottages tor rent that would also accept pets so we are happy to have well behaved pets stay here.
What makes this Cottage unique
This is a beautiful, quiet site with a very charming, traditional cottage that feels like a step back in time. We love that it is fairly remote, with great hiking and swimming. The sunsets over the bay are truly spectacular.

Beautiful cottage on a beautiful lake!
Our stay was absolutely fantastic! Our dogs loved swimming and being outdoors. The cottage was perfect for us and the lake was beautiful! We are hoping to be able to come back again :)
