Life is good at Pelicans Perch
we were very impressed with Pelicans Perch. Well stocked, clean, fantastic decor and close to town. Wendy and Michael, our hosts were very friendly and met all our needs.
Fantastic Mother/Daughter Trip!!!
Wendy and Mike could not have been more accommodating. The place was a little slice of heaven with everything provided to make our stay relaxing and comfortable. We loved having access to the golf cart each evening and visiting with their four legged babies, Mabel and Gentleman Jack. We definitely plan on going back to Pelican' s Perch!
Charming and impeccably clean
Lovely grounds, comfortable bed, and peaceful neighborhood made for a wonderful stay. Highly recommend and hope to come again!
We really enjoyed staying at "The Pelican Perch." The property is very nice and the attentiveness of the owners, Wendy & Mike, was great. We found the property very clean and well stocked. The kitchen has everything you need if you prefer to eat in (which we did a lot!). When we did eat out, we enjoyed St. Marys Seafood (try their shrimp corn chowder) and Langs Seafood (yummy shrimp & grits). The location was perfect for the day trips. Amelia Island, Fernandina Beach, and Jacksonville are not too far away to enjoy all the area has to offer. We are golfers so enjoyed rounds at Jekyll Island, Fernandina Beach, the course on base at Kings Bay and our favorite, Laurel Island Links right in Kingsland. Wendy and Mike lent us their pull carts too! It was a nice winter break. Highly recommend this property.
The hosts were great, happy to answer questions and give suggestions. The apartment was cute, nicely decorated, stocked with snacks, drinks and toiletries if needed! We highly recommend Cedar Oak Cafe, they make a great breakfast burrito. Riverside Cafe has great Greek food and desserts as well as burgers etc. Cumberland Island is a must see, we spent the whole day there and rode bikes all over, the wild horses were everywhere! Jekyll Island was nice, all lit up for Christmas and Driftwood Beach was amazing! Although we probably won't make it back to that area, we would certainly stay here again, great location and even though we didn't take advantage, the use of bikes and golf cart is a plus!
