Beautiful apartment but don't go if it's due to be hot!!!
We went to Fowey in July this year, during one of the heatwaves.
The apartment is beautiful, extremely clean and well appointed, the beds are comfortable and it is in a good location near to the Bodinnick Ferry and about a 10 min walk from town.
There is, however, one major drawback. The living room has a very tall 3 section window (overlooking mostly a car park but also the river if you look out at the right angle!). The window is very pretty but......don't go there if it's due to be hot!
There is no covering for the top half of the window and so it is impossible to block out the sun. There are also restrictors on the windows so you can only open them a crack which means there is very little airflow. This, unfortunately meant that it was often 10°C hotter in the apartment than it was on the street and although there are a couple of fans, they made minimal difference. We called to complain to the owners and were advised that we couldn't unlock the windows for health and safety reasons but were told that we should prop open the doors for more airflow .... but the doors were fire doors, so this should also have been against health and safety guidelines....and it didn't really make a difference anyway.
Thankfully the bedrooms (which did have blinds) were cooler but the living room was quite unbearable and we were unable to spend much time (other than overnight) in the apartment. We would definitely not go back.
