Why Maria Bailey chose Satsuma

I've never had guests that didn't tell me it's the most beautiful spot on the river.

Amazing river front property!

  • 5 of 5

Great weekend getaway. My wife, I and another couple enjoyed 3 nights on the river. We brought our boat to head down to Silver Glen Springs and Salt Springs during they day. The boat ramp was just a short drive from the home which was very convenient. Was able to tie up right to the dock. Overall great little getaway and hope to come back this summer to stay at this home again!

Peace before the storm (literally)

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this riverfront home just before Hurrican Irma came into Florida. Our plans changed several times and the owner was so flexible and responsive. The home is an older home with modern conveniences. We were only there one day and night, but we had fun fishing and casting for shrimp. The fireplace was cozy at night and the owner provided everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The view was beautiful and we loved being right down by the water. We did not make use of the some of the other amenities (hammock, kayaks, etc) but they were available. Wifi was available. Kitchen was stocked with a good amount of dishes and pans. House was clean and easily accessible. We took a nice walk around the neighborhood. Unfortunately, we had to leave to prepare for our unwanted guest, Hurrican Irma, or we would have enjoyed the whole weekend there. Just wish we had more time to play... Great rental for relaxing and enjoying the beauty of the St Johns River.

A Weekend Adventure

  • 4 of 5

This was our family's first visit to the river and it definitely won't be our last. The property is a breathtaking river front lot; surrounded by water on two sides. The house is an older home, clean and with modern conveniences. It had everything we needed- from updated appliances to wifi, canoes, cast net, and fishing poles. The neighbors were kind and made us feel very welcome. The owner was a pleasure to work. The neighborhood is quiet with Mud Springs State Park and a small aquarium near by.

Our three kids, ages 5, 7 & 9 woke up early every morning and went to bed late every night. They spent their time happily exploring the property, shrimp casting and fishing. All sorts of fun to be had! They caught several types of fish, sting rays, blue crabs and shrimp. In the mornings and evenings, I could be found lounging outside on one of the two spacious docks, enjoying a book and the gentle breeze of the water.

It was a perfect weekend adventure for our family.
