Stylish retreat in stunning location

We thoroughly enjoyed our winter stay in windswept Dungeness thanks to the stylishly appointed and beautifully situated Channel View. With views of the lighthouse, spectacular when illuminated at night, mid century modern furniture, the quirky distressed railway carriage as a central feature, a log burning stove and well equipped kitchen, it was the perfect shelter from the storm. The TV was very small and the internet connection understandably data restricted, so if you want to watch quality films or series, take your own DVDs or download them before you go.

Relaxing and peaceful stay

We had such a lovely stay at Channel View. The views were gorgeous, super comfy bed and a very well stocked kitchen. I've recommend it to all my friends. Can't wait to go back!

A short stay away

We enjoyed our stay here enormously, a very unique stay in an area full of history and raw beauty. We were very lucky with the weather, which definitely enhanced the experience. With easy trips out to Rye & golf at Lydd Golf course.

Channel View

Wonderful house, so perfectly located on the beach at Dungeness. Beautiful vistas from the large windows. So comfortable and well equipped. We didn’t want to leave. We loved the style and atmosphere of this beautiful house.

golden days

We stayed for 5 nights in Channel view, and felt very much at home. Golden sunrises and sunsets, the views were amazing. Every photo is post card worthy! The house is very well equipped and so convenient for cooking. The gifts made us feel very welcome, the linen was crisp and comfy, luckily we had gen Z kids with us who can work with Alexa ;) We hope to return!

Perfect

This was our second stay here - we love this house. Early June and the wild flowers were in full bloom, making the already wonderful views just stunning. We found ourselves staring out of the huge windows for hours, watching the wildlife and the constantly changing colours of the landscape. The house is so beautifully designed it is a real joy to be able to stay here. The welcome hamper was a very thoughtful touch. Thank you so much, we will be returning.

6/10 – Acceptable

Good location, mediocre property

No communication in advance, despite my in box being inundated with various emails, of foghorn on lighthouse. This surprisingly went off just before 4am on my 1st night. After scouring the property for the cause in a sleepy haze I finally realised the source. Freezer did not work and property was a might shabby for the cost. I would recommend a large smart TV in the property with good wifi for the evening as very little to do.
