In the immediate vicinity, a visit to the old towns of Goslar, Wernigerode, and Quedlinburg is worthwhile, as is a day trip on the narrow-gauge railway to the 1,100-meter-high Brocken or a visit to the Border Museum near Braunlage. In good weather, you can take a refreshing swim in the nearby Sösestausee reservoir, but above all, you can fully enjoy the beautiful nature here.
