Pinecroft - sleeps 5 guests in 3 bedrooms

The bungalow is well situated in a popular peaceful location on the outskirts of Keswick with a well-maintained mature garden and fell views. The large level patio area extends from the driveway up to and around the property, with lots of interesting features and nooks to explore including a fountain, fish pond and barbeque area. There is also a bike shelter with anchor points.

As you enter the home you will find the welcoming open-plan kitchen/diner with quality appliances and fittings well-stocked for your holiday. There is a spacious dining table, seating and TV making this an ideal place for socialising with friends and family while you cook and dine. Views from the dining area are wonderful as you look over Keswick to towards Grisedale Pike where the sun sets.

Moving into the tastefully decorated living room you will find two comfortable leather sofas, smart TV and feature log effect gas fire.

The home has three beautiful bedrooms, all made up with luxury white crisp bed linen and towels. There are two double bedrooms, one with ensuite, and a single bedroom. The main bathroom has a lovely bath and walk-in shower.

There is a lovely collection of original art with many paintings to enjoy.

Safety for younger visitors - The large pond is less than 3 feet at its deepest, it is raised above ground level and has shrubs etc all around making it difficult for anyone to enter the water which is also very clear. Some large fish call it home. Other water feature / pond is also raised and only 6-8 inches deep.

Weekend break at Keswick.

This was our 5th time st Pine Croft. We love the place as it's in a perfect location, very nice accommodation, specious cosy and with plenty of comforts. The only cosntractive feedback is the garden could do with some genes at the drive to secure the dogs from running in out. The bedroom wasn't hoovered properly and it could do with a bigger duvet. Other than that we love the place.

Beautiful Pinecroft

From start to finish, this was the best property we have stayed in. The interior took by surprise as it is such a beautiful property with wonderful views. There was nothing lacking in what was needed to make our stay warm and enjoyable. I must admit we were sorry to leave. We will be back...soon x

Lovely bungalow in good location

PINECROFT is an excellent bungalow for up to 5 people with 3 bedrooms all on one level. Large bathroom with a great walk in shower Comfortable lounge - we found the gas fire quite difficult to use Kitchen/diner large and well equipped. Chairs to dining table very heavy and need cushions as we took our 97 year old mother this was akward to get her seated. Good location at top end of Keswick can easily walk Into the town in about 15 mins Mountain View’s from dining area and garden - lots of work ongoing in the garden currently and not enclosed for any dogs. For disabled/ elderly would have liked handles on doors and a rail on paved entrance slope ( this was good tho as no steps ) A nice bungalow tucked away in a convenient area with parking.

Garden Dissapointment

On arrival at Pinecroft we were very disapointed with the garden. As it states there is work in progress but I didn't think it would be in every corner it was very messsy with lots of things that could have been put in the shed, patio not swept and overgrown plants. To say we were dissapointed is really an understatement. Cleanliness could have been better too,lots of cobwebs, window frames black needed washing. No tins for oven use only cake tins and I didn't intend baking a cake on holiday. We have stayed in many holiday cottages in the last twenty years and I am afraid to say this one really disapointed us .

Comfortable Cottage in great location

Pinecroft is a lovely cottage with everything needed for a great week away. The location is ideal for not only Keswick with all it’s amenities but for easy travel to both the Central and Eastern Lakes however there are so many lovely walks direct from the cottage there is really no need to move the car. We found the lounge a great place to relax after a long day on the fells and together with the comfy beds aided a good night’s sleep ready for the next day’s adventure. The garden is lovely with lots of different seating areas including a BBQ. We had a fabulous week in this lovely cottage and we will definitely be returning hopefully very soon.

This is a well equipped Bungalow, situated just off the A66 before you get into Keswick Town.Well equipped, spacious and in a super spot - I will be going back !

Perfect relaxing family getaway

Except for the rainy weather our stay in Keswick at Pinecroft was perfect! We used the barbecue, ate dinner around the lovely dining table and enjoyed the surroundings in comfort. The only recommendation is that the mattress in the main bedroom is replaced.

Pinecroft- lovely house in great location

We were very happy with the house - very comfortable and met our needs perfectly. We loved all the water features in the garden and were very lucky with the weather - appreciated all the outdoor seating areas that meant we could get sunshine or shade at any time of the day.

Keswick hideaway

Overall a lovely property, spotlessly clean, in a brilliant location 15 minutes walk into town. One of the best equipped kitchens we’ve experienced, but there was a lack of baking sheets and roasting tins. Main bathroom and walk in shower are excellent but en-suite a little cramp. Lounge a good size, plenty of seating and a smart tv with basic Sky. Nice to be able to park off road but beware the birds in the big fir tree! Car needed a wash before we left. The fir tree does drop a lot of debris which is messy and can be walked into the property. So many walks from the property! Didn’t move the car all week! Old Keswick to Threlkeld railway line is just round the corner, so one day up to Threlkeld for lunch and the next day down into Keswick and the lake, absolutely beautiful walks. Up the road to Castlerigg stone circle with views and Walla Crag, what a climb, what a view! Our week was blessed with wonderful weather so we wanted to use the outside space but was disappointed with the rattan furniture because there were no cushions to go with it, so we were restricted to two small chairs and a small table. There were also only three chairs to go with the outdoor dining table. It could be a lovely outdoor space but does need updating. Dog friendly property, but the garden front and back is not fully enclosed so you need to be mindful of this and supervise at all times. Look out for the owner who visits once a day to feed the fish!

Beautiful cottage, in a good location , close to lots of nice walks and amenities. Cottage is nicely decorated with a fantastic bathroom, a home away from home. Met owner on several occasions, very friendly . Would definitely recommed ,were already looking rebook again.

Excellent place for a Lake District break

The property is great for a small family or two couples. The walk into the centre of Keswick only takes 20 minutes along an old disused railway path. The Twa Dogs, a popular local dog-friendly pub, is 10 minutes walk away. The Neolithic Castlerigg Stone Circle is a ten minute drive up the hill and is definitely worth seeing. Keswick in general is a great place, full of fine pubs and eateries and unusual shops. And then there is the scenery, in which I'm sure everyone sees a little bit of their own version of god. Facilities are very good. The main bathroom at Pinecroft is fabulous, and the kitchen and living room are great social spaces. We had a very comfortable few nights here, despite some gale-force winds and the rather busy road adjacent to the property. Bedrooms are nice and comfortable, although the wardrobe in the main bedroom takes some arm-wrestling. I feel it is a stretch to describe the cottage as dog-friendly. The interior is fine, but the grounds are not enclosed and so we couldn't let our inquisitive Labrador roam around unleashed. There are lots of outside seating spaces but the grounds are in need of a good bit of maintenance and repair. They are great for bird-spotting and would probably be wonderful in good weather, which we sadly didn't get. The people at Keswick Cottages were very supportive. They kept in touch all the way through the holiday. The little booklet they sent was useful, although burdened with too many upselling pitches for my liking. I think I would use them again, even so. Overall, a great place for a holiday. I might even go back.

Family holiday

A lovely cottage plenty of room for 4 of us and a dog, very good location for Keswick but just out of town enough to be lovely and peaceful, access to the railway line walk just at the bottom of the road or other direction uphill to castlerigg stone circle, just to note for dog owners the garden isn’t enclosed, this wasn’t a problem for us

Good location

Pinecroft provided an excellent base for our week in Keswick the house was quite well equipped although missing a couple of kitchen items e.g. no baking trays and only rwo small frying pans one which even after cleaning was unusable .The main bathroom shower was excellent ..the beds were comfy overall a good property.

Brilliant bolt hole in the Lakes

3 days of surprisingly brilliant conditions, considering it was February! Lots of walking and adventuring, and always coming back to a lovely, warm, welcoming home at the end of the day.The instructions for the location were spot on, Pinecroft was perfectly equipped for cooking in at, and chilling at in the evenings. We had a brilliant time, and would definitely return.The lovely welcome packs for us and the dogs were a delightful touch, and just added that extra sparkle to a brilliant holiday.

Lovely place to stay

Pinecroft was a great choice for a visit to the Lake District, a home from home, comfortable bungalow with everything you need provided. It was lovely to be met at the property by the owner, Roger was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Close to Keswick with lovely walks close by but also a good base to explore further afield. Definitely would recommend a stay here.

Really comfortable stay in Keswick

The cottage was really comfortable - we all slept really well during our time here. The layout of the property was great - spacious lounge & well equipped kitchen diner with view of the fells for post dinner card games. The garden provides plenty of spots to relax and enjoy the view of the North Western Fells. The parking was easy and convenient which is important for us. Thankyou

Great place to stay on the outskirts of Keswick

Great place to stay on the outskirts of Keswick, with easy off road parking for our two cars. Was a short stroll into the centre of Keswick and easy access to many walks.

Keswick stay

We had a lovely stay at Pinecroft the accommodation was perfect for 5 adults and our little dogs. The bungalow was clean and had everything we needed for cooking . The location is brilliant easy walking distance to Keswick down the railway path and walking distance to Castlerigg if you don’t mind the hill. Roger was a good host and fixed the shower immediately when we had a problem. One of our party has mobility issues and the bungalow was perfect for her needs . Only 2 small negatives no toilet roll at all when we arrived disappointing and inconvenient after a long journey and beds could do with a mattress topper. Overall we really enjoyed staying here.
