Location

Guests are a 3-4 minute’ drive from Stresa train station, its convention centre, the Villa Muggia wedding venue and the buzzing lakeside centre of Stresa, with its tour boats ready to take you to the Borromean islands. Within a 10-20 minute walk, you can reach the start of the Castagni Hike and the beautiful Villa Pallavicino as well as several restaurants and a supermarket.

The picturesque lakeside promenade route, known as ‘Passegiata Lungo Lago’ also offers a super spot for enjoying a timeless walk, ice cream or sunset aperitif. Stresa’s Mottarone-Alpino cable car also offers a fun scenic 3-leg journey up the Mottarone, to visit the unique Alpine garden, Alpyland, the mountainside bike trails and the Mottarone Snowpark. The closest public lido to the apartment is in Baveno (10 minutes drive away), where watersports and parasol, chair and sun lounge hire are all readily available. Stresa also offers frequent ferry links across Lake Maggiore, providing the perfect way to explore the top visitor highlights and hidden gems of Lake Maggiore.

Lago di Varese, Lago di Monate and Lake Lugano are also within easy driving distance, as is downtown Milan (which is reachable by train within 50 minutes). The nearest international airport is Milan Malpensa, approximately a 1-hour drive away from this holiday rental in Stresa.
