'THE DUNES' - Amazing sea views and a short stroll to the beach!

'THE DUNES', PORTHTOWAN

We are delighted to offer, on behalf of the owner, this lovely, well-equipped and light ground floor apartment. 'The Dunes' is situated right in the heart of Porthtowan, just a short stroll to the beach and the very popular Blue Bar, among other lovely eateries. It offers spectacular sea views from the garden and you can also gaze at the see from the living room/kitchen.
Located on the north Cornish coast, Porthtowan is very popular with surfers and bodyboarders. There are two great surf schools within walking distance and you can hire boards and suits from them too. Porthtowan beach starts off a with a mixture of sandy and pebbly areas, but then continues into an expanse of glorious golden sand which increases when the tide goes out, eventually opening up to Chapel Porth beach and the area under the cliffs below the iconic Wheal Coates engine house.
The 'blue flag' beach is a regular winner of awards for clean beaches and it has a seasonal RNLI lifeguard service.
Dogs are welcome on the main beach for much of the year, but please note the seasonal restrictions that are in place between 15th May and 30th September between the hours of 10:00 and 18:00, when they are not permitted on the main beach. Outside of this time, dogs are very welcome on the sandy dunes/green area and in the river just across from the property. All of the village bars/eateries are dog-friendly.
