The Old Cottage is a traditional Mallorcan stone country house built in 1860 and fully renovated inside to provide maximum comfort. It offers free Wi-Fi throughout the house, Netflix, and air conditioning in every room.

With a surface area of 195 m² spread across two floors, the ground floor features a spacious living room with a fireplace, a dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom. Upstairs, you’ll find three double bedrooms and a second bathroom. Outside, a 9 x 4 meter swimming pool is surrounded by a well-kept lawn and gardens — perfect for relaxing in the sun.

Its central location on the island means you can reach almost any beach in Mallorca in just 30 minutes. The house is located 800 meters from the tiny hamlet of Ruberts, with just 50 inhabitants, where time seems to stand still. Just 2 km away is Lloret de Vistalegre, with bars, restaurants, shops, and a supermarket. The charming town of Sineu, famous for hosting Mallorca’s oldest weekly market every Wednesday, is just 7 km away.

At The Old Cottage, you’ll enjoy peaceful, relaxing holidays in the heart of the Mallorcan countryside, while still being close to the beautiful beaches of the island’s north and east coasts. The flat terrain makes it ideal for cycling, and if you’re visiting outside the hottest summer months, we highly recommend hiking in the nearby Serra de Tramuntana — you’ll find tourist guides and information at the house to help you plan your adventures.

This is the perfect house for a family getaway or a romantic escape, whether you’re enjoying a dip in the pool or sharing a barbecue under the shade of the porch.

Brilliant house; meets all your wishes!

Gloria and Joan offer this lovely restored house keeping its original style and atmosphere, private and quiet situated on a very large land in the middle of the isle (which means driving 30 to 45 minutes to beaches and bigger supermarkets for instance; 30 minutes from the airport). But the roads are good. Very cosy furnished inside (indeed: a lot of steps up and down), not only the living room, but also all sleeping rooms: like cosy hotel-rooms; and even the modern equipped bathrooms. Joan and Gloria have taken care excellently for all details making your stay so pleasant. All very clean. The kitchen and the whole house provide everything you need including enough towels, also for at the (not heated) pool. A perfect and spacious place to relax and feel home and to visit all parts of Mallorca from there. There is a lovely cat. They will ask you to look after it (food provided), but you can leave it outside. If you don't like cats, Joan and Gloria will take it away to their home. We definitely will come back. Fantastica

The Finca of Gloria and Joan was everything we hoped for. Quiet, spacious, clean and beautifully situated in the middle of the Mallorca island. The garden looks even more pretty than in the pictures. We enjoyed every bit of it , and hope to return, so we can also finally hit the beautiful pool (since it was a little bit too cold this time of year to swim...).

Muy agradable.

Casa situada en un entorno tranquilo en el centro de la isla con una buena ubicación para acceder a cualquier rincón de Mallorca. Se ajusta totalmente a lo expuesto en el anuncio. Perfectamente equipada y en perfecto estado de mantenimiento y limpieza, está decorada como las antiguas viviendas del campo mallorquín con sumo gusto y cuidado. Sus dotaciones permiten hacer una vida completa en la misma. Los anfitriones están atentos en tu llegada para explicarte el manejo de los equipamientos de la vivienda así como poder referenciar cualquier rincón de la isla. Un 10 en todo. Volveremos.

espectacular

hemos pasado 10 días en esta casa, y la verdad es que es espectacular. la recomendamos 100%, a parte de ser una casa preciosa, tanto el interior como el jardín están muy bien cuidados, el entorno es muy bonito con un pueblo cerca que permite hacer las compras fácilmente, además la casa tiene todo lo necesario, está completamente equipada. sin duda repetiremos.

Tolle Finca in ruhiger Lage

Die Finca von Gloria liegt in der Inselmitte von Mallorca - ein wenig fernab vom Massentourismus und ist perfekt für alle die Entspannung und Ruhe suchen. Wir haben 2 traumhafte Wochen dort verbracht und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Unsere Kinder (3 und 2 Jahre) fanden es auch super - wir können die Finca daher allen Familien empfehlen. Die Zimmer, Küche und Bäder entsprechen genau den Bildern die hier veröffentlicht sind. Alles ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und dekoriert, wir haben alles sehr sauber und gepflegt angetroffen. Wohnbereich: es gibt ein großes Wohnzimmer mit Essecke und TV Küche: sehr gut ausgestattet mit allen Utensilien, Geschirr und Besteck das man braucht, zusätzlich gibt es auch ein wenig Gewürze, Müllbeutel etc die zur Grundausstattung gehören Schlafzimmer: es gibt insgesamt 3 Stück die alle im Obergeschoss liegen, in einem Schlafzimmer gibt es eine Klimaanlage, die anderen haben leider keine - nur Ventilatoren Bäder: eines im Erdgeschoss und eines im Obergeschoss - beide sind sehr schön renoviert und es gibt Handtücher (1 großes, 1 kleines pro Person plus Strandtuch für den Pool) Waschen: es gibt eine Waschmaschine die man benutzen kann, sehr praktisch und funktionierte einwandfrei Der Pool ist schön groß, es gibt Liegen und 2 große Sonnenschirme - die gesamte Außen- und Gartenanlage ist sehr gepflegt. Wir können das Haus wirklich sehr weiterempfehlen und werden auf alle Fälle noch einmal Wiederkommen! Deshalb gibts auch alle 5 Sterne :-)

Amazing holidays in Mallorca

We spend nearly one week in this cosy traditional house in Ruberts, Mallorca, and we could not be happier. The children loved the space and swimming pool was perfect. We fall in love with the place from the beginning! Gloria was so helpfull with the check in as our flight was a bit late, and she also gave us nice recommendations in the area. It was our first time in the island but we definitely want to come back.

Lovely stay

We loved our week here. The pool is fabulous. My son especially loved exploring the garden. All three bedrooms have air conditioning as does the living area. We enjoyed several good meals in Sineu, near the cathedral square. Palma is worth a day trip to. We enjoyed the market in Inca. Plenty of beaches to explore. Cristofol was great with his communication and recommendations.

Schöne Finca in ruhiger Lage

Wir haben uns in der Finca und auf dem Grundstück sehr wohl gefühlt. Die richtige Erholung fernab des Lärms. Besonderes Highlight die süße Fincakatze Dolce 😍. Gute Ausstattung vorhanden. Betten (vorallem Matratzen) sehr gut. Mit dem Mietwagen gute Erreichbarkeit. Rundum schöner Urlaub.

Idyllischer Fincaurlaub

Rundum eine tolle Finca. Alles war gepflegt und sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Der Gasgrill schien sogar nagelneu gewesen zu sein. Es hat an Ausstattung nichts gefehlt. Auch der Pool wurde regelmäßig gereinigt. Die Betten waren angenehm groß und hatten gute Matratzen. Es gibt eine kleine liebe Mitbewohnerin die mit auf der Finca lebt. Eine kleine Katze namens Dolça. Sie lebt draußen und hat uns morgens immer begrüßt.

Great rural location and stunning property

Very tastefully restored, this is clearly a much-loved house which has pretty much everything you'll need. Nice pool and aircon in 2 of the 3 bedrooms, big kitchen, plenty of places to eat, very nice bathroom. Having Dulca (the cat!) around was a real bonus :-)

Great short stay

Villa has a lot of style and is very comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Very quiet. Communication was fantastic with owner. Offered early checkin and late departure. Wonderful stay.

A wonderful place to stay!

Communication from start to finish was brilliant! The house was even better in reality and was really well equipped for the number of guests it sleeps. The pool area was amazing and spotlessly clean. Lots of lovely touches with chairs and benches placed around the different terraces and the main outside dining area was so pretty. Lighting around the property was beautiful in the evening. We can’t wait to return !

Ganz toller Urlaub

Es gibt hier nichts auszusetzen. Im Gegenteil: Fantastisch war die Zeit hier. Eine ganz tolle Finca, herzlich eingerichtet, prima ausgestattet. Beste Erholung in einer wunderbar ruhigen Gegend. Tolles Grundstück mit vielen südländischen Pflanzen ... Trauben, Kaktusfeigen, Granatapfel ... alles im Garten .... Wir waren als Familie hier (40 - 39 - 7 - 1 Jahre). Wir haben einige Ausflüge zu Stränden und nach Palma unternommen. Alles mit kurzer Fahrzeit erreichbar. Wir haben hier auch tolle Restaurant-Tipps bekommen, die wir getestet haben (Mühle in Sineu hervorragend; Steakhaus in Sineu ebenfalls sehr gut). Die Vermieter waren sehr nett, beste Kommunikation jederzeit. Jederzeit bereit, auf Wünsche einzugehen. Wie gesagt, nichts auszusetzen.

Beautiful retreat

We loved this house, its pool and outside area. It has been beautifully restored with great attention to detail, retaining lovely original features but providing high quality modern conveniences. The owners are charming and couldn't have been more helpful when we needed them. I would love to return with my family.

Ein klasse Urlaub in einer sehr schönen Finca!

Die Finca ist genauso wie im Inserat beschrieben. Einzig vielleicht anzumerken ist, dass das zweite Bad sehr klein ist und keine Tür hat. Ansonsten ein tolles Haus im malloquinischen Stil, ein super Pool, der regelmäßig professionell gereinigt wird. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und alles ist sauber. Eine schöne Terasse unter Weinpflanzen runden das ganze ab. Die Kommunikation und der Service der Gastgeber war herausragend. Immer freundlich und zuvorkommend haben Sie uns einen sehr schönen Urlaub beschert.

Peaceful and Private

We had a lovely stay in this very quiet, peaceful and private location. The finca had everything we could possibly need. We enjoyed very much the swift communication and service of Gloria and Joan and all the recommendations of local restaurants, golf clubs, supermarkets etc. It’s a great central location for sightseeing on the island with nothing more than 50 minutes away and only half an hour from Palma and it’s airport. I would certainly highly recommend it if you are wanting to get away from it all.

Lovely countryside home with welcoming owners

This pretty traditional Majorcan villa has everything you could possibly want. A lovely swimming pool with comfortable sun loungers , there are plenty of seating areas so it’s possible to have shade if you want it. The villa is very well equipped , making it feel home from home. Set in the countryside, a car is a must although restaurants, local cafes and supermarkets are only a few minutes drive away. Joan and Glòria were very welcoming and supplied us with plenty of information regarding restaurants and suggestions of beaches and sightseeing in Majorca. Thank you both for a lovely holiday in Majorca we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and had a very relaxing holiday.

Fantastic place to relax and unwind!

We had a lovely stay at this house. The owners were very responsive and the communication beforehand went great. The house is lovely, but of course we spent most of the time outside. The pool is just perfect! The house is located in a rural area so you have to go by car to the next supermarket / bakery. In one of the previous reviews (in German) I read that one person complained about the airplanes. True, there are planes flying over from time to time but this is not bothersome at all. Quite remarkable that somebody would complain about this when it's highly likely that an airplane got you to Mallorca in the first place.. In any case, I would definitely recommend this house and hope to stay here again!

Fantastic!

We spent two weeks in the house and we loved it! Nice clean house, a lovely pool for our children (4 and 7 yrs old) and easy to go anywhere you want in Mallorca. We also liked the small town Sineu for eating dinners in the cosy alleys. Joan and Gloria were very helpful. Maybe we will come back!
