Charming Cornish slate cottage, tucked away near the delightfully named area called Advent, on the edge of Bodmin Moor. Perfect for a relaxing break, walking, hiking or venturing to the rugged North Cornwall coast.. All on the Ground Floor:

Tucked away within the serene Trethin Manor Estate, you will find Almond Tree Cottage, named after the adjacent tree which flowers in Spring and offering a perfect retreat for those seeking tranquillity and a connection to nature. Set against a backdrop of lush gardens and the rolling countryside, the cottage offers an idyllic escape where nature’s beauty is on full display.
Once inside you are welcomed into an open-plan living area designed for comfort and relaxation. A plush wing-back chair and a spacious triple sofa invite you to unwind while enjoying the garden views beyond. The room is tastefully decorated with a dining table, a cosy wood-burning stove for chilly evenings, and a TV for entertainment. The kitchen, though compact, is fully equipped with all modern essentials, while digital radiators ensure warmth throughout the cottage. The family bathroom features a low bath with a rainfall shower overhead, whilst the two beautifully appointed bedrooms offer restful retreats, one with two single beds and the master with a comfortable double bed, designed for a perfect night’s rest. Step outside and enjoy alfresco dining as the evening unfolds, or marvel at the breath-taking night sky, where the Milky Way and countless stars create a mesmerising display.
Just a short walk from the cottage, the shared games room provides fun-filled entertainment with table football, table tennis, and a pool table. Beyond the estate, the charming town of Camelford awaits, known as the Gateway to Bodmin Moor. This mystical moorland is dotted with ancient stone circles, captivating Tors and spellbinding vistas. Further afield, uncover the legendary Jamaica Inn, once a smugglers’ haven, whilst a short drive takes you to the picturesque coastal town of Port Isaac, famous as the fictional setting of the TV series Doc Martin, offering a delightful seaside experience.
The harbour town of Padstow, bustling with life and superb array of restaurants, galleries and boutique shops is a must visit. The rugged Atlantic coastline, home to enchanting Boscastle lies to the north and the legendary Tintagel, forever linked to the magic and mystique of King Arthur, with its incredible footbridge set high above the rocks.
