Had to leave after night one. No WiFi, a crazy amount of noise from the English pub next door (including loading and unloading metal barrels at 5am) and does not feel safe.

No. Just no.

We don’t need luxury when we are just sleeping in a place and spending our day exploring the city. So I booked this place. Big mistake. There was no air conditioning. They offer a fan, but the room is stifling hot without opening a window. BUT. You cannot do that, because the window is streetside DIRECTLY on a busy sidewalk and has no curtains. There are wooden shutters that shut from the inside, but if you close them it’s just a little tiny dark room from the bowels of Hades. . We tried to watch French Open tennis on the tiny little tv. After reaching out to customer service ( that was fast), they helped me to discover There is no cable. So really, if you don’t have your own streaming, fuggadaboutit. If you want to go to bed before 2 am or wake up after 7am, don’t rent it. The neighbors are an English pub for Sorbonne students. And boy, do they take the party on the street. Every night but Monday. It’s like they are in the tiny little miserably hot room with you smoking their skinny little cigarettes and sing-shouting French songs. Mornings were started early with extra loud street noises: garbage pick up each morning, street sweepers, etc. and loud talking outside our metal door, Which held a bunch of rental keyboxes. We never tried to cook—the place was Too hot and small. The stove just took up precious counter real estate. There was a fridge, but we found that it just added to the oppressive heat of the tiny room. One good thing: Located near a metro station.

Wie ich bereits in E-Mails geschrieben habe, wurde uns ein späterer Check-out zugesichert, da wir beim Einzug in die Wohnung so große Schwierigkeiten hatten. Wir hatten keine Notfallnummer und standen im Regen. Ohne die Hilfe der Nachbarn hätten wir in ein Hotel gehen müssen. Nachdem uns zunächst zugesichert wurde, dass wir zumindest bis 12:00 Uhr bleiben könnten, teilte man uns dann mit, dass Checkmyguest 49 Euro für einen Aufenthalt bis 12:00 Uhr berechnen würde. Es ist absurd, wie viele Agenturen an dieser Vermietung beteiligt sind: VRBO, Sie und CMG.
