As you step through the front door, you’ll be greeted by an impressive open plan space, showcasing a beautiful comtemporary kitchen, dining and living area. The kitchen is stylish yet functional with top-of-the-line appliances. The property also features a separate cosy living area with large TV and a double sofa bed, utility room with a washer and dryer, plus dedicated space for outdoor gear, perfect after exploring the local landscape.
Upstairs:
Blueblue Barn has 3 beautifully decorated bedrooms. The stand-out double-height ceiling in the master bedroom features a king bed, floor to ceiling windows, a private balcony, and a stylish en-suite bathroom. Bedroom two features a double size bed and a modern en-suite. Bedroom three has 2 single beds with large windows with a rural view, ideal for younger guests or larger groups.
The property also has a large separate family bathroom provides additional comfort with both a shower and a luxurious bath.
Fluffy white towels and crisp white linen will be provided for your stay.
Outside:
You will enjoy the tranquil environment that this property has to offer, you will be set in the heart of rural Somerset nestled within the green woodlands.
Additional Information:
The house benefits from the latest in eco-friendly heating with underfloor pipes powered by heat-pump technology, ensuring the floors remain warm and inviting. An electric car charging point adds a convenient touch for eco-conscious travellers.
This property is located in the exclusive Cookswood development which is set to encompass a number of eco-conscious architecturally designed homes. Please note, within the 400-acre gated estate there may be restricted areas due to development.
Being in the heart of the countryside and surrounded by ancient woodland, please be mindful, depending on the weather, there may be substantial amount of mud so don’t forget your wellies!
Guest Access:
Guests have access to all of the property apart from a locked owner / supply cupboard.
The house is located on the Cookswood development where we will need to supply all guests name and vehicle registrations for security
Guests staying at the property also have access to the Cookswood Estate
Mineral Lake, which is fed by natural local spring water. During the
summer months, the water takes on a beautiful turquoise hue, creating a
peaceful and rejuvenating setting. The lake is perfect for wild swimming,
paddle boarding, and kayaking, offering guests the opportunity to enjoy
nature in a private and tranquil environment.
Please note that the lake is owned, managed, and operated by
Cookswood Estate, and we have no control over its operation or
maintenance.
Other Things to Note:
While the house is completed, the wider site is still under phased construction. You may notice building activity elsewhere on the estate, but this should not affect your stay. The estate is a former quarry, and the terrain can be muddy, so we recommend bringing wellies or suitable walking shoes if you plan to explore the surroundings.
The house also has parking up to 4 cars. 2 cars can be parked at the house and 2 to be parked at reception.
Please note that the lake is owned, managed, and operated by
Cookswood Estate, and we have no control over its operation or
maintenance. Safety rules must be followed at all times when using the
lake. These will be available within the property and in the guest house
guide.
Please note this property is not a party/ hen do/ stag house as it is situated in a quiet, rural environment.
