Cart shed 1 - Close to Oxford
Cart shed is conveniently located ground floor barn style property with a gorgeous open plan living space where the light floods in. Upon entering the property is the open plan lounge and kitchen area with comfy sofas where you can laze in the evening with a glass of wine and enjoy a film on the Smart TV. The kitchen area is fully equipped for the creation of culinary delights to be enjoyed at the chunky wooden dining table. When it is time for bed there is one super king bedroom with ensuite that features a walk in shower and a further bedroom that is a twin room, both with crisp linen and luxury Hypnos beds.
All of the rooms are light with pretty touches of colour in the tasteful décor.
The location is ideal for walkers, with circular routes from the estate, walk along the River Thames or head in the opposite direction to Marsh Baldon or Toot Baldon where you will find the Mole Inn and Seven starts both lovely village pubs a perfect pit stop for a bite to eat.
The park & ride into Oxford is just a 10 minute driveaway, there is also a bus stop in Nuneham Courtenay village directly into Oxford.
The Westgate Shopping Centre is the main retail area in Oxford with quality shops along with a roof top area with bars and restaurants. Also, you can visit the historic Covered Market with its bustle of independent shops, butchers, greengrocer, cafes. Amongst many things to do in the City, you could try your hand at punting, visit the sites that featured in ‘Morse’ and other TV dramas as well as the University buildings and The Story Museum
Blenheim Castle, Bicester Retail Village and the Cotswolds are on the doorstop as well as Henley-on-Thames.
Next door to the Estate is the Harcourt Arboretum with historic links to the Estates previous owners the Harcourt family. Marvel at the collection of trees, and many interesting events.
For those who enjoy active pursuits, just down the road is Queenford Lane – for open water swimming, water sports and during the warmer months ‘Wet n Wild’. Nearby walking routes can take in the beautiful scenery at the Wittenham Clumps, and up into the Chiltern Hills for walking / running / biking trails.
On the site there is a separate events room that is available to hire at an additional cost, please enquire for pricing.
Parking is available for two cars.
With our concierge service we can arrange a private chef, activities such as clay shooting, pottery as well as decorations.
Dogs are very welcome to join you during your stay; however, please note that they must not be left unattended at the property at any time.
Please be aware that the property is located in a rural area, and there is no outside lighting, so it can be quite dark at night.
Just a small note—we kindly ask that food deliveries are not arranged to the property as drivers often have trouble finding us and this has unfortunately led to issues with neighbouring properties. For convenience we recommend using click and collect at the local Sainsbury’s for any food shopping.
