Nestled on a working farm in Swansea Valley in beautiful South Wales, this countryside upside-down barn makes the perfect escape for a family gathering or a rendezvous with a group of friends. Savour the breathtaking beauty of the Brecon Beacons, a favoured location for cyclists and walkers, just 10 miles away. Spend a day traversing the Gower Peninsula, renowned as Britain’s first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (these are now known as National Landscapes), 16.5 miles away. The town of Pontardawe, just 2 miles away, is home to a leisure and arts centre, a swimming pool, a cinema and indoor bowls making it the perfect destination for the kids on rainy days. Beach lovers are spoiled for choice with nearby Aberavon Beach 10.4 miles, Swansea Beach 13.5 miles and the Mumbles 16.6 all perfect destinations for some seaside fun.
Enter the barn into a spacious hallway where you’ll find three well-appointed bedrooms on the ground floor. To the left, the large king-size bedroom is dressed in elegant furnishings complemented by a neutral palette for a tranquil ambience; it enjoys the convenience of a spacious en-suite shower room with a cubicle shower and a WC. The double bedroom features a wrought-iron bedstead while the charming twin bedroom offers a TV, a DVD player and plentiful storage. The ground floor in this upside-down conversion also features a games room with a PlayStation 4 and a contemporarily styled family bathroom with a bath, a cubicle shower, a heated towel rail and a WC. The first floor of this property is designed to maximise countryside views with a spacious lounge and an open-plan kitchen/diner.
On balmy days, open the French doors and step out onto the balcony – enjoy a hot chocolate on the deck while the designated chef prepares a platter of snacks and appetisers in the modern kitchen. The property offers parking for four cars. Outdoors, guests enjoy access to a private balcony, and a large wrap around lawned garden with a terrace, garden furniture and a charcoal BBQ.
