About this property

Superbly appointed, Cosy cottage in the heart of the Derbyshire Peak District

Chantry cottage is available to book through Vrbo, with its “chocolate box” looks is situated in the picturesque Peak District village of Ashford in the Water near Bakewell. The cottage is in a central location overlooking the church and just a short stroll away from the famous Sheep Wash bridge. The village is positioned on the River Wye, one and a half miles north of Bakewell and just a few minutes drive from Chatsworth House.

Chantry cottage can accommodate up to 6 people. There is a double bedroom, a twin bedded room and bunk bedded room. The family bathroom has a roll top bath, separate shower and toilet. The lounge has a feature fireplace with multi-fuel stove, there is a separate dining room, and downstairs toilet. The kitchen is complete with built-in oven, grill, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. There is also a conservatory overlooking the private garden. The garden is ideal for BBQ’s or just simply relaxing with a drink after a days walking in the peaks. The cottage has WiFi supplied by Plusnet.

During off-peak times we provide part-week breaks of 3 or more days. The changeover day is Friday or Monday. Therefore you can visit from Friday to Friday, Friday to Monday or Monday to Friday. However please contact us if you require alternate days and we may be able to accommodate your request. Please note that during the summer months we only accommodate none standard changeover days rarely.
