This stunning property, situated part way along a sweeping bay in charming Porthleven, is perfect for a big getaway. Sleeping eight across four bedrooms, three with breathtaking sea views, families and friends can come together here for a true coastal retreat. Wake up to the sound of crashing waves, grab a coffee and head to the terrace to watch the morning unfold.
The cottage, which is one of a trio of cottages, sits in an elevated position and welcomes you into the first-floor open-plan living space from the double parking area. Vaulted ceilings, neutral decor and huge windows give the space a bright and airy feel. Scandi-style furnishings and a comforting wood burner make it the ideal place to relax on chilly evenings, but on sunny mornings find a sofa or armchair and gaze out at the vistas. Sleek worktops in the kitchen make it a pleasure to cook in, while the dining table is great for sociable evening meals. A convenient wood-panelled utility room and WC also sits on this floor. When it’s time for bed, head downstairs to the bedrooms; three king-size and one twin room with zip-and-link beds await with soft, calming tones and wood panelling that gives each room a beach-hut feel. Soak up the sun as soon as you wake up in one of the two rooms that has direct access to the terrace. On warmer days, sizzle up a BBQ out here and dine al fresco, enjoying the superb views. Finally, a stunning spa-like bathroom completes the property, with flattering lighting, a separate bath and shower and dual sinks.
Spend the day at Porthleven Beach just 0.5 miles from the property and help the kids built sandcastles. Little thrill seekers will enjoy Flambards Theme Park (3.5 miles), while animal lovers will be at home at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary (8 miles). Make sure you visit St Michael’s Mount (10 miles) while you’re in the area, as well as the Poldark Mine (6 miles) if you’re a fan of the TV series.
