Panoramic Penthouse on the Arno-Florence

The Space

Recently renovated, the apartment is bright, cozy, and tastefully decorated with elegant finishes that give it a unique character. Each room features panoramic views, and the highlight is a spacious 30 sqm terrace offering breathtaking sights of Florence—perfect for relaxing with a glass of Chianti after a day of sightseeing.

Situated on the 4th floor of a beautiful building with an elevator (please note: access to the elevator begins after 25 steps from the main entrance), the apartment can comfortably accommodate up to six guests. It offers two luminous double bedrooms (one with two single beds that can be joined), one of which has an en-suite bathroom, and an additional large bathroom. The living room includes a comfortable double sofa bed and a TV, along with spectacular views. There is also a dining area and a fully equipped kitchenette with a fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle, Nespresso machine, and dishwasher. Amenities include A/C, Wi-Fi, and a washer/dryer.

⚠️ Please note: there is a staircase (25 steps) before reaching the elevator.

My family had a great 3-night stay in this beautiful, clean, and conveniently located apartment in Florence. The apartment was well-appointed, very clean, and had plenty of space for my family to be comfortable. With the top-floor location, views from the 3-sided wrap-around balcony were stunning. The location was perfect for us with so many great attractions and restaurants within walking distance. The host was good to work with, responsive, and the check-in and check-out process was easy. Would return if back in Florence.

Great Place

Check-in process was a challenge. Apartment uses a 3rd party property management group for check-in.Morning of arrival we got a couple messages about check-in, but then communication went dark all day. It wasn’t until after we arrived, and had been waiting outside the apartment building for a while, that someone else responded to our calls and came over to let us in. Apparently the first person called out sick and the person trying to cover was scrambling all over the city and behind on check-ins. Other than that, the place was fantastic. Modern, clean, convenient. Made for a great stay. Will warn though, need to carry luggage up a flight of stairs before an elevator can take you the rest of the way up. If not able to carry your luggage it could be a challenge.

Would definitely recommend! Steps from the Arno River

We rented for a week over Thanksgiving break to visit our daughter who is there studying abroad for the semester. This apartment is on the TOP floor of a residential apartment building. It's bright and clean and beautiful! The wrap around balcony/porch areas are SO special! You get the whole Florence skyline- including the Duomo! Great, residential area- on the south side of the Arno- in the NON touristy area, yet a short/lovely walk to everything. Only things to change on description: there is a washer, but no dryer- which I think is standard for Italy. There is a Nepresso type of coffee maker, no "American" style coffee maker which we would have loved. Asked for a second set of towels for our week long stay and that was provided for us. We didn't know what to do with the trash but our daughter helped us figure it out! Would return to this apartment any time!

Perfekt stay

It is just a lovely apartment, clean and well designed, with great outdoor areas. The location of the apartment is perfect as everything is in walking distance, like grocery store, restaurants and old town. The contact with Sweetstay was great, we felt well prepared and during our stay we had a great support from Nicollo.

Perfect!

The apartment was spacious bright and clean! The layout was perfect for 2 couples as the bedrooms are nicely separated by the common area. The location was very convenient to great restaurants etc. We would definitely book again!

Florence at its best!

I love Florence even more after staying at this location! The flat had everything we needed, we could walk everywhere, and the views sitting on the terrace were fantastic. Will be back!

Nice Apartment

Very nice apartment - tastefully decorated and within a 20-minute walking distance of most attractions. The deck was beautiful; however, we couldn't use it as much as we had hoped because mosquitoes would fly inside every time we opened one of the doors to go outside. So we mostly kept everything locked up and ran the AC. Our biggest issue with the apartment, however, was the water. We would lose water pressure whenever someone ran the shower for even 5 minutes. We wouldn't just lose hot water - we literally would not have water for 20-30 minutes, and this happened repeatedly during our stay. Also, there is no number to call to reach building management - you have to use chat for all communications. In fairness, management did respond timely to the chats; however, being able to call directly would have been more convenient. Finally, when we checked in, only one set of keys was initially given to us. We had to convince the woman who checked us in also to leave us her set of keys so that our family of five would have two sets. Going forward, two sets of keys should always be provided.

The view from upstairs is really nice. You should avoid the elevator, but that’s the building’s fault. It’s REALLY slow. Like 10s/floor slow. Facilities are great.

Excellent

A fabulous, spacious, spotlessly clean apartment with the most amazing terrace. It’s situation is perfect for all the old town has to offer….. shops, restaurants, station, taxis and of course the Duomo and all other buildings and sites. Sweetstay is a wonderful host. We would definitely stay here again and we highly recommend it.

Wonderful apartment

What a wonderful stay we had in this apartment. We got in later than expected and they were very accommodating. Laura was lovely and met us to let us in, show us around and offer a bit of history. She had sweets, fruit, water, coffee and milk all ready for us. It was a perfect dew days in Florence.

Great layout to the apartment for two couples but be mindful of valuables

Overall, this is a nice apartment. It is a bit of a walk to the main attractions (we knew that going in but wanted to mention it in case others looking for a rental aren't aware). We loved the outside deck. The apartment could use a touch-up (paint) on the main walls. There were dead/bloody mosquitoes on the walls from prior guests. Also, be aware there is no safe. The apartment was burglarized while we were on a tour our first full day. There are three keys to get into the apartment itself (outside door, vestibule, and apartment). It led us to believe it was someone within the property management group. The property manager did contact us once we reported the burglary. Our jewelry was all taken as well as other clothing and personal items. If you rent here, take any valuables with you and/or hide them well.

Fabulous Location & View - Almost a 5 Star!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The view hands down is the absolute best part. Communication was great prior to our trip with many suggestions for dining and tours! I had a lag in communication due to my phone not updating so reach out if you don't hear from anyone. Check in was on time although I had one small glitch due to my own fault of texting the wrong person. Sorry about that. The View is spectacular! The apartment is spacious for 4 people and light filled, I couldn't get over the view and the birds! The sights, smells and sounds. Perfecto! The showers were wonderful at the end of along day with great water pressure and heat. Love the bidets! Having a washing machine (once you figure it out) is helpful for mid trip and lighter packing. Netflix from the USA worked on the TV. We never really used the other appliances as right below the apartment across the street is an adorable bistro Santarosa Bistrot for breakfast, lunch, dinner espresso and drinks anytime! There are several wonderful restaurants around ever corner and a Happy Shopping store on the block for any additional needs. This could easily be a 5 star stay with just a few minor improvements which I will mention.... The floor I am sorry to say was very dirty upon arrival and the master bath sink did not drain properly. We did not contact Sweetstay because we were too busy and wasn't worth the minor inconvenience to waste precious time addressing. The mattress are firm, great for some but for those of us used to a little cushion adding pillow toppers would make the beds much more comfortable as well as adding a few more plush pillows. We did purchase two additional pillows and left them at the property. We stayed for 4 days and the small bar of soap & shampoo/conditioner supplied were not enough as this was the second stop of our 10 day journey. With carry on luggage and limited liquids allowed it would be super helpful for this to be supplied for the duration of the stay. We did travel with a 76 year old and to make others aware there are about 10-15 steps to reach the first floor where there is an elevator to the penthouse. It is a spacious elevator for Europe. This property is located across the river not directly in the heart of Florence but easily walkable for most. We did use Uber quit a bit at the end of the day as we were tired. We thoroughly enjoyed this property and would certainly rebook again! Ciao!

Cleanless at the was not as you expect ! If the agency would take more care about this instead of sending emails like the clients would have nothing else to do would be much better ! Apt. location and description was great, experience with the agency: Try to find another one makes your holidays more relaxed !

Amazing

This apartment is absolutely wonderful for a city break in Florence. It's the perfect location. When we arrived at the apartment, check-in was straight forward and they even provided us with a bottle of wine and some snacks which we enjoyed in the terrace straight away. You're never more than 25 minutes walk away from all of the main attractions - there is a shop about 5 minutes walk for you to get the essentials. The large terrace was just beautiful and they even provided additional supplies for mosquitoes if you're visiting in Summer. Sweetstay hosts are super reachable, we accidentally locked ourselves out the apartment one day and they dropped a spare set of keys off so we were able to get into the apartment after our day trip to Tuscany. If you're thinking of booking this apartment, take this as your sign to do it - it is so close to everything!

We will be back!

This apt is BEAUTIFUL. Clean and chic. The BEST location with all of Florence attractions, restaurants, and sight seeing just steps away. Oh yes - very important —The BEDS are super comfortable and the baths are modern and fully appointed. Most of all we appreciated our host Sweetstay who responded quickly to all the requests before, during and after our stay and gave us some excellent recommendations. We will be back!
