We really enjoyed our stay. The kids had a wonderful time on the river, It was so great to be right above it. The cabin is beautiful and was very clean. The hosts are great and the directions were clear to the cabin. We hope to return one day soon!

Girls weekend magic!

We've been planning a cabin weekend trip for ages, finally made it out of the group chat, and had a really wonderful long weekend all together. The cabin was super clean, communication from the management team was thorough and easy to follow, and check out was super smooth (no excessive chores, thank goodness!). We had a great time lounging on the porch, yapping in the hot tub, and making smores over the campfire. We'd love to make this a regular thing!

The Eagles nest was perfect for our multi-generational weekend away. It was so peacefuland quiet, far enough away from the city to relax, but close enough to drive in for dinner. During the day, we tried our hands at fly fishing, with very little success, but it was fun to wade through the river. Water level was pretty low, so we couldn't kayak, but we may book again in the spring to give it a shot. In the evenings, we enjoyed the hot tub and the screened in porch protected us from mosquitos. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet retreat, but if you want to visit the river, be prepared for the 103 steps to get there. In the fall, bring watershoes to help navigate the riverbed. The furniture was very comfortable, and there were plenty cookware, dishes and utensils. No need to bring any. We had absolutely no complaints.

Everything about this cabin was perfect!! Beautiful hot tub, comfy beds and excellent location. We enjoyed the sounds of the river and amazing views.

We spent our Family Thanksgiving in the house. We had family members stay next door in Tree Top as well. Our family is spread from NC to MD and we decided to meet in the middle in Va. It was a great stay.

Loved the open spaces and being able to cook together, relax in multiple places such as the fire pit, hot tub, the big yard and the deck. also its proximity to hiking trails.

Lovely cabin in a beautiful area of Virginia. Great amenities, very responsive hosts, and overall a wonderful time. Looking forward to coming back in the summer!

Had a great stay over the Christmas holiday! Beautiful cabin that is exactly as described. Fire pit was nice, and the views and sunrises can’t be beat. Living room needs some lamps/better lighting. And the cabin needs new pots and pans. But those are minor issues in comparison to what a wonderful time we had. We will definitely be returning to Fish Trap Village!

Peaceful Holiday Getaway

We felt so relaxed staying at Eagle’s Nest Cabin. Highlights were the soothing sounds of the river; the lovely views; and the clean accommodations that had everything we needed. This location was a convenient starting point for Luray and other caverns and Shenandoah NP. We also enjoyed just staying in and enjoying the peace and quiet all around us. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Cabin

This was our 5th straight year renting Eagles Nest. It is clean, comfortable and convenient. It offers gorgeous views and a serene setting. We’ll be back next year for sure.

Annual moms trip perfection

Perfect quiet get away for 7 friends looking to reconnect. The water was beautiful and we loved being able to set up our large tube for an anchored float right off the launch. Sat in the screened in porch and watched a storm blow over then soaked in the hot tub. Overall just a perfect trip.

Terrific, Quiet Retreat

We were only in town for a couple days for a wedding, and this cabin was the perfect setup for us. We traveled with an older relative who was easily able to get in and out of the cabin and really appreciated having everything on the first floor. Everything was very comfortable, the cabin was extremely clean, and the host was very helpful and accommodating. We would happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone with family and friends of all ages, as it seemed there was plenty to keep kids entertained, too.
