Everything was as advertised. Room was nice and bright and clean. A small starter bar of soap for the shower would have been helpful, as i didn't want to run out to the store right away after a day of travel, but overall stay was great.
Perfect for what we were looking for, close to the beach, walking distance to other restaurants and bars with a more casual feel. Overall love the laid back vibes of this location and beach in general, we’ll definitely be coming back.
We really enjoyed our stay! The description and pictures were accurate and we were very comfortable. Loved the short walk to the beach. We definitely come back again!
The property was very clean, steps from the beach, accurate description on VRBO and the owners were very responsive with any questions we had. Great people to deal with.

We enjoyed our stay. Our condo was very clean and nice. We walked to beach within a minute. Restaurants just down the street. We will come back for sure.
The condo was just as listed - very clean and very nice. The only thing we were a little disappointed in was the very small balcony, but it wasn't a deal breaker. We had a great trip and will definitely be going back!

The place was clean and well organized. The convenient location was appreciated. The beach is across the street, the pool a few feet away and restaurants, ice crem shops, grocery stores and more are in walking distance.

So often nowadays owners rely on constructive and fair reviews of their property for future guests to use for their information. Susan and I endeavor to present a clean respectful property and we appreciate your noticing and commenting on it.
Best regards, Chip, owner friendly native unit 105
This is the first time visiting Clearwater/St Pete area. We were very pleased with the unit. It’s was very clean and the location can not be beat if you are looking for beach access!Grocery stores, restaurants/bars are all very close, again its location is superb. If traveling alone or as a couple, I recommend staying here. The only complaint I can share is being charged an extra 100 for having an “excessively dirty room”, which is not right. Ultimately, this is a wonderfully located clean efficiency apartment with convenient parking included.
My husband and I stayed the week for my 50th birthday! The place was very clean and so close to the beach, just walk across parking lot and you’re there! Didn’t even rent a car. Everything is walking distance. Had breakfast at Ricks Reef almost every morning. Super good! We will definitely be back!
Definitely a party spot. Loud music all the time, young people resort. room walls are paper thin. Lobby smells awful. Old furniture. Nice outdoor area. Nice warm pool. However, resort is definitely not what I expected.
We love walking the beach and this location was perfect for that. Never had visited St Pete’s Beach until this stay. Made sure each day that we were walking the beach before 9 am to avoid the tattoo crowd. St Pete’s Beach is pretty tickey tack and commercial but the beach is beautiful in the morning. Access to the beach from this condo was easy. Go to Ft DeSoto Park for more pristine nature.

Beach in the Backyard
We used to travel to SPB as a family every year when I was a kid, so this time around, mom and I made a trip back to see all the old stomping grounds. Chip and Sue's unit was awesome! The condo complex was very quiet, clean, and easy to get around. We rented a car for Tampa and our favorite breakfast place on Pass-A-Grille, but everything else can be accessed by walking. We loved coming back to our "second home" and couldn't have asked for an easier and convenient place to stay. My husband and I are now talking about a trip in the fall!

The property number is unit 105. Perhaps I missed it but I saw nowhere in the information that this is not on the first floor and I assumed that it was. I have mobility problems so getting my luggage up to the second floor where the unit is located was difficult. Also, you can see the beach from the unit but you have to cross a street and a parking lot to get there. This is not what I would call on the beach. However, it is a cute, very clean, and well-organized unit. It is quiet and has a lovely pool. I met some of the owners at the complex and found them very friendly and helpful.
The location of this condo is on point if being close to the beach is important to you. Literally, just across the parking area is the beach entrance. I would more likely call this accommodation a studio apartment as it is one room and the bathroom. A comfortable queen memory foam bed, plenty of room for clothes, a small kitchenette, refrigerator, and closet. The kitchenette is equipped with absolutely everything you may need including a dishwasher and coffee maker. This accommodation was super clean! One of the cleanest we've ever stayed in and we've stayed in a lot!You do walk thru a small portion of the pool area to enter the building which was fine. The people we met that are "regulars" there were very nice. Great area and we felt safe the whole time. The only thing my husband would have liked was a roomier balcony. It is on the small side but it worked for us.Within walking distance to a lot of restaurants and bars. Paradise Grill is across the lot on beach. Drinks and food was convenient and good. One of our favs was Branzini's and another was the The Reef. Both just 2 blocks away. Coconut Charlies and Rum Runners are accessable by beach as well as road. Both were also good and great places to grab a drink and watch the sunset. We did the Starlite dinner cruise. On the pricey side but very good food and nice experience.Easy communication with host. Had no issues at all. It is on the smaller side but perfect for single or couple. Was perfect for us!

GREAT LOCATION
This was our 7th time using VRBO and once again it did not disappoint-we were looking for a condo with a pool and within walking distance of the Gulf and "bam" we found both at The Friendly Native the beach is literally 175 yards from the unit and as you can see in the pictures you have a view of the beach and the pool!!! This unit is small but very accommodating Marshal and Susan have thought of most everything to make your stay comfortable- in the closet they have two beach chairs a very handy 12 pack cooler ,three beach mats and obviously if your flying in these are items your not packing. If your looking for luxurious or high end this is not for you- however if your looking for CLEAN and very functional this is it!! My wife and I were here for four days and it couldn't have been any better the pool was very nice and well kept and the other people staying here we so friendly and pleasant.
There are a few restaurants /Bars within walking distance of the condo that we found to be quite good - we love oyster's and the Oyster Shuckers is just a short walk -also Willies Bar was a lot of fun and close by as well.
This was our first time in St.Pete/ Treasure Island and I went away thinking we need to come back and explore more .As I mentioned the location between Treasure Island and St.Pete is perfect we would definitely stay here again !!!
The owners were very helpful and any email or call was quickly returned - so if your reading this and wondering if you should pull the trigger just remember this is what it is a smaller CLEAN condo to explore from.
Thanks once again Marshall!!! (chip)

Dear D. from Michigan,
Susan & I wish to express our appreciation to you for taking the time to write a review and, of course, a big thank you for the kind words. We do receive personal emails from our guests telling us what a pleasant time they had at our little "peace" of St. Pete Beach Heaven, but it is extra special to see such comments posted to assist potential guests to feel comfortable making a vacation decision.
My daughter and I stayed here for one week. The room itself was what we expected and good for us, although the balcony was worthless. The door did not work and I was afraid one day I was not going to get it closed. The location is perfect for the beach and walkable or short drive to everything. The weather was perfect so no complaints there overall. My issue and why I will not stay again is the lack of privacy. You have to walk through the pool area to get to your room and we felt we were watched from the moment we arrived which made the non-use of the balcony okay. Occasionally someone would smile back, but we didn't even use the pool it was so uncomfortable. Maintenance came 23 hours early and thought we were supposed to be gone (he knocked). Then a lady, assuming she came to clean? walked into our room without knocking an hour before checkout with my daughter getting dressed. I don't feel this was the fault of VRBO/property manager. We were very respectful, clean and quiet. My daughter lives FL and we were having a beach week and we just didn't feel welcomed as guests. Another thing to note for reference - the beach is public and you have to pay for cabanas/umbrellas/chairs. If you are watching your budget and this is important to you, look for another condo that may provide these or plan for it. I did love this beach. Every night is a sunset spectacle and very peaceful, so not this particular complex next time...

Thanks for staying and for your feedback! We did check with maintenance, and he was actually there to fix the balcony door. Our apologies it was disruptive! And I think there may have been some confusion on check out time? Housekeeping arrived at 11 AM. Regarding the pool, I do go in and out of the building frequently and walk through the pool area. I understand you felt it to be comfortable. However, I've never had that impression. People are curious as to who's walking in and out but never rude or unwelcoming in my experience. Overall, we hope you were still able to enjoy your stay and appreciate your business!
This apartment has everything you need for a 2 weeks stay.
Location is perfect, just a few steps to an awesome beach, you can even see the ocean from the apartment.
Lots of restaurants and tiki bars in walking distance.
We had a great time and will definitely come back.
Thanks,
Wolfgang and AnnMarie
Well-organized and clean unit, had everything we needed and perfect location. Views of the gulf and beautiful pool. Property management responded quickly to questions. Definitely recommend!

What sets us apart? Boutique, Local, Personal, Quality. We don’t necessarily believe bigger is better and commit to staying hands-on and involved with our business. My husband, Josh, and I live beachside, know the local market, and have our own money invested in local real estate - because we believe in this area! Overtime, we have also seen the gap in quality real estate services and commit to doing better. We have our hands in every transaction and aren’t afraid to get them dirty, literally. You might find us pulling weeds or mowing lawns or helping the cleaning crew - whatever is needed in the moment to support our team. While there are other worthy competitors, we promise to care just a little bit more, work just a little harder, and bring our unique skills and experience to perform just a little bit better. At the end of the day, we believe quality, hard work, and integrity always win!
