Our family stayed for three days for christmas and overall, had a good experience.From the outset, communication with the host was strong, messages were clear and timely, and they made a genuine effort to resolve issues when they arose. The house was generally quite clean on arrival, felt family-friendly, and being pet friendly was a real bonus for us. Location-wise it was very convenient, close to amenities like Asda and petrol stations, and with quick access to the M6. The property also had the basic facilities and household equipment needed for a short stay, which made day-to-day routines straightforward.That said, the home would really benefit from a bit more maintenance and a refresh in places. A few items were showing wear and tear or were partially damaged, for example the fridge freezer was dented and had a broken shelf, the cooker caused the fuse box switch to trip and the oven door handle was broken, and there were various smaller maintenance points like shelves, shower door handles, and some wallpaper needing attention. The TV remote was not working properly and missing back cover. We also found the washer dryer did not wash properly, which was inconvenient over a family stay.Despite those issues, the host’s responsiveness and willingness to help made a difference, and the property’s cleanliness, practicality, and excellent location worked well for our needs. With some focused repairs and preventative maintenance, this could easily be a great place to stay.
