Appartement Sur La Mer is as close as you can get to the sea without getting your feet wet! This contemporary, 1st-floor apartment is on the seashore, across the road from the beach. It is an ideal base for a relaxing holiday, exploring the nearby beaches and coves.

The airy apartment has a private balcony, which overlooks the sea. It is furnished with a table and chairs for dining al fresco. Inside, the owners have taken every care that their guests will have a comfortable stay. The sitting room has an L-shaped sofa, a flat-screen TV, a telescope for watching the stars and a desk for any guests who need to catch up with work.The separate kitchen-diner is equipped with a cooker hob, oven, microwave, Nespresso machine and fridge/freezer. There is also a dining table with chairs for easy meals.

Location
The former fishing village of St Mandrier is on its own peninsula, across the bay from the busy port of Toulon. By contrast ,St Mandrier is peaceful. Criss-crossed with footpaths and blessed with seaside restaurants. It is the ideal place to relax, on one of the many local beaches. For more active guests, there is a watersports rental agency on Plage des Sablettes (5 minutes), so you can get out on the water and explore the coastline.

The town’s weekly market takes place on Friday morning. Here you will find the freshest local ingredients to cook at home. Alternatively, there are several supermarkets within a 10-minute drive.

Toulon is only 20 minutes away and makes a fascinating day out. The Old Town is a maze of narrow, pedestrian streets, lined with excellent restaurants and quaint boutiques as well as Toulon’s cathedral, parts of which date back to the 11th Century.

Toulon-Hyères airport is 45 minutes to the east, and Marseilles airport is 1 hour 15 minutes to the west.
