You can also go to the races, play golf and visit the National Trust's fascinating former Victorian workhouse. Plan a day out to the magnificent Sherwood Forest, 16 miles away, to follow the leafy trails through the woods that Robin Hood and his merry men were said to frequent. Picturesque Clumber Park ,17 miles away, with its 3800 acre estate, walled gardens and lake, is also well worth a visit. Venture 20 miles to Bolsover castle with its colourful history and fountain garden. Wonder along the banks of the nearby River Trent and admire the wonderful views.

Pull into the quiet lane in Halam, and park conveniently in front of the single-level accommodation. Although this is located in the owner's own back garden, guests can rest assured they will have their own privacy. Make your way inside and into the galley kitchen, arranged to allow you to prepare holiday meals with ease. Unpack your groceries, put on the kettle and make a cup of tea. The kitchen flows easily through to the open plan lounge/diner. Wander into the lounge space, with its plump leather seating. Spend cosy evenings in here together in front of the Smart TV, and as the day draws to a close, make your way through to the welcoming double bedroom, where you will find ample storage space. This room also benefits from a satellite TV and the convenience of a refreshing en-suite shower room.

Carry your coffee out into the garden (shared with the owner) and plan the days activities. There is parking for one car at the property.
