This house is a newly built home with a great view of Lake McConaughy. There is a very nice large wrap around deck for summer enjoyment outside. The inside has a nice open and comfortable layout for all to enjoy. Resides in a quiet neighborhood. Close to convenient store and cement ramps off the highway approximately 1 mile East. Also has a restaurant and bar within the same subdivision for eating out pleasures.

We had a wonderful stay overall! The home was clean, comfortable, and in a peaceful setting with beautiful surroundings. The host was very kind and responsive, which made the experience smooth and welcoming. With the water level being so low at the lake, it was about a 10 min drive to water acess but still worth the stay! Obviously nothing the host can do about that! That said, it was still a lovely place to relax and enjoy the area. With its quiet atmosphere and the host’s hospitality, it made for a pleasant getaway.

Lake Mac

Host was very nice and helpful through the process. Check in was very smooth once we found the property. Kitchen had the basics of needed dishes, pots and pans etc. Nothing over the top for sure. Full size frig and stove. House was nice although was not near as clean as I would expect it should have been especially since they tag on a cleaning fee each time its rented. Lots of dust bunnies, flies in windows and lights, ceiling fans were covered in dust, also under bed and there were books and toys from last visitors.

House is Clean and nice

Place was clean, nice house and everything worked. Nothing the owner can do but water was a little lower so no water view or access.

Great House

The great room is very large and accommodating. Bedrooms are a good size and the deck is great for spending time outside. The host was easy to communicate with and the check in/out process was simple.

Great place. Well maintained and clean. The home had everything we needed to enjoy the few days we were in town. If you're looking for a comfortable getaway to enjoy Lake McConaughey, look no further. Multiple entrances to the lake within a short distance made it easy to enjoy the area fully. HIGHLY recommend!

Very nice house

We really liked the house. The electric outlet on deck did not work and we had a boat that we needed to plug in for batteries, someone woke us at 8:30 am mowing the property, and there was no property map to know where to park. The book told us to park on the mowed out area to north of house but there was not an area that was mowed out to the north so we did not know where to park.

Large nice place clean

stayed for a weekend ended up having more guests than planed . Ranae our host could not have been nicer. The kitchen ,dining & living room area is large and was perfect for our family. The deck was great There are stairs that you see in the photos that is how you get in, that is the only thing that was a little hard for some of us to navigate carrying things in and out. Would stay there again .

Disappointed

The house itself was as described and fairly clean. This property is not properly described as in the listing on Vrbo. It's listed as "New house with GREAT VIEW of Lake McConaughy. There is no GREAT view of the lake because the lake is dried up in this area and the waterline starts at least 4 miles away. There's RR tracks 100' or so behind the property and trains run all hours of the night although it's hardly noticeable when they go by. I couldn't find the password to the WiFi so I texted the host to get it but she never did respond. I eventually found the password in the 3 ring binder. We will never stay here again.

Perfect home for a retreat close to lake Mac! Communication with the host was friendly and punctual. I would definitely recommend this home for a stay😁

Owner broke 2 privacy policies

The most inappropriate behavior I have ever experienced from a VRBO property owner. First of all, about an hour away from arriving at the house, we had received no communication on how to check - in/ get inside. Called owner, no answer, messaged her on app, no answer. Eventually got there and scoped the place out in the dark and found the key sitting in the front door lock (THIS IS A POLICY VIOLATION). Owner responded the next day saying she lost her phone. On our second to last day there I messaged her saying the garbage disposal hadn't been working our entire stay (which wasn't important to us) and now the sink wasn't draining (we were using the strainer thing that catches big food from going down the drain so it wasnt clogging it). Told her it wasnt a problem for the rest of our stay since we were leaving at 11 am the next day. We all fell asleep for a nap and woke up to her walking inside the house WITHOUT PERMISSION and then continued to start screaming at us yelling profanities at us before we had even spoke. Then she tried to fix the sink and let her dad in to try to fix it without asking us if we were okay with him coming inside. She then admitted she had had a little too much vodka (AND SHE DROVE HERE). She eventually left without fixing it (which we didnt care about) and drove off. Overall nice house, clean and good amenities but THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH RENTING A HOUSE. Will never stay here again.

Nice little place

Close to the beach, far on the west end of the lake so check water levels if you want to get down to the beach. Plenty of amenities and quick responses from property manager.

Took my Grandaughter and family for her 15th birthday. Nice home. Great communication. Lake was very low and had to drive quite a way to put our boat in.
