Get away at our cozy lakeside cottage on Rust Pond in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. Located on the owner's six-acre private residence, this spot is friendly and secluded, with woods and water around you.
The cabin features one bedroom with queen bed, a living area, a small kitchen and bath with shower. Enjoy the views of Copplecrown Mountain and brilliant sunrises from the front porch or sitting waterside in the gazebo.
Rust Pond, a small lake, offers many of the conveniences of the big lakes such as swimming on sandy bottoms, boating and waterskiing with far less crowds and noise. This 35-foot deep lake is known for its small-mouthed bass, and fisherman come just for the sport. This property is bordered by a brook complete with wooden foot bridge, a gravel road runs around the pond perimeter for long walks and mountain biking, and there are also many forest trails to explore.

The cottage was a cute and cozy place to stay. We enjoyed the location on the water with the close access to town. As noted in other reviews the cottage is on shared property with the owner's home, however the owner's were very pleasant and we still felt we had privacy. There were kayaks, canoes and paddleboards that we could use. The pond (it's really a lake) was clean and clear and great for a swim. The cottage has received some updates that are not reflected in some of the pictures here (new flooring, new tv) and it was a nice space for 2 people.
Sweet little cottage at the edge of Rust Pond, immediately adjacent to the owners house. We enjoyed kayaking and relaxing in the hammock. Only notable was non municipal hard water.
We had a blast at Karen and Rich's property. They are lovely people who make great hosts. Their lake is gorgeous with excellent fishing. We miss it already!
There is something so very peaceful about this place and the setting. I haven't relaxed that fast in a long time. The owners are wonderful, and having the lake right there was just what I wanted. Hearing and seeing the loons was a highlight for both of us as it has always been a treat to see and hear them over the many years we've spent in NH's lakes region.
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed this beautiful lake front cottage. I wish we were informed that the owners live at the location and have other guests staying at the same time, but the overall stay was nice.
Perfect place for a quiet vacation right in from of a beautiful lake. Enjoy swimming in the clean waters of the lake with amazing views of the mountain. Hosts are super nice and helpful.
A cute and cozy cottage right on Rust Pond, which is more lake size. Karen and Rich were welcoming, knowledgeable about the area, and so friendly and sweet. Our pups got along swimmingly (literally!) with their sweet dog Xena. We got the best sleep ever, they say it's the air! Minutes to town of Wolfeboro on Lake Winnipesaukee with great food and shopping. Can't wait to return asap for awesome fishing, beautiful views, and great R&R!
Our stay was fantastic! The hosts were warm and welcoming. The cabin was cozy, and the view of the lake, from the porch, was right out of a dream. I could not imagine a more peaceful & beautiful lakefront location. We will be back.
The property is beautiful and well kept. It is very quiet and clean. We were surprised by the main home right next to it and the large apartment above the garage. We were looking for secluded and private. We still enjoyed our time there and have no complaints.
We (two late 20's women and a dog) had a wonderful weekend at this Lakeside Cottage. The views were beautiful, the outdoor seating (gazebo, lake, and firepit) were plentiful and easy to access. The cottage was as expected, with a bedroom, a queen pullout couch, and a kitchen that is well set up (we cooked all our meals). The location cannot be beaten! We enjoyed numerous local hikes and several up in White Mountain National Forest. We would absolutely stay here again.
The cottage was just as expected. Perfect for 2 people with all the amenities and right on Rust Pond. We brought our kayaks and put them to use many times. It is also only a couple of miles to the center of Wolfeboro, so we had access to everything we could possibly want.
Karen, Rich, & Zena the dog were wonderful hosts. We will definitely look to stay there again on our next trip to Wolfeboro.
The cottage was perfect for our family of four. The location was perfect with beautiful views of the pond and close proximity to downtown Wolfeboro. Karen was very friendly and easy to work with. We would definitely stay here again.
Despite the Memorial Day weekend rain- our stay was peaceful and relaxing. Karen and her husband we’re so great and helpful! They made the cabin so cozy and warm for us when we arrived, especially with the gas fireplace on.
Our cabin was literally 5 minutes from Lake Winnie and all the shops and restaurants. SUPER convienent! We ate out all 4 days we were there. Our pup enjoyed nearby trails that we explored and played fetch in and out of the lake we weather permitted. Overall it was a great getaway and we would love to return again!

This property is on a beautiful lake (Rust Pond) but very close to the small bustling town of Wolfeboro. We enjoyed the solitude and the proximity both to town and my sister’s house on The other side of Wolfeboro
This idyllic cottage fronts a crystal clear small lake with a lovely beach, inspiring views, and many loons, heron and songbirds. The cottage is on the grounds of the hosts' residence. The hosts were both efficient and friendly, went above and beyond with helpful suggestions. Cottage was fastidiously clean, comfortable and charming . Pet friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We had the most relaxing vacation ever! The accommodations were even better than the photos; and we loved being so close to the pond. Karen and Richard are wonderful people and made us feel very welcomed. We will definitely be back next year!
