Why this property: Private Waterfront w Dock, Location, Range of activities, Affordable prices
If you enjoy the lake, this is a terrific location. It is a real pleasure to sit out on the dock with refreshments, watching the boats coming and going or the leaves turning. Take a swim if the season is right, or take a kayak / canoe / paddleboard ride around the bay (about 4.5 miles long!). If you have a jet ski, or small boat, use this as your launching point to explore all of the adventures that the lake can bring. Wolfesboro is 20-30 minutes by boat, with beautiful swimming spots on the way. Once in Wolfesboro, enjoy ice cream, lunch, dinner or the shops. Many other locations are available by boat, including Weirs beach, Meredith Bay and more. . . If you are looking to drive, you can reach Weirs Beach or Wolfesboro in about 20-25 minutes. If you want to take a walk, Alton Bay has several small restaurants, a country store, and two small beaches. If you enjoy hiking, you can explore a local park, as well as several true mountain hikes with a hike to the top of mount major providing a couple hours of hiking round trip for a spectacular view of the lake and Alton Bay. Nice quiet bay

Bill was so easy to communicate with and so friendly. We had everything we needed at the house which made it even easier to enjoy our time on the lake. The boat dock was easy to access and we were able to watch sunrise right from the dock or the kitchen table . The only word of caution is … if you have small children.. the road can be very busy at times . We definitely look forward to returning!

Great Stay on the Lake

This stay was amazing from start to finish. The house was warm and cozy. We were able to work with a great view of the lake, then go out to the dock in the evening. There was enough space for friends to come and visit. There are great places to go grab a bite; a couple minute drive or 10 minute walk away. Bill was a great, quick to respond and helpful with any questions we had. Overall, just a great time. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Alton Bay Vacation

My family had a great time at this property. The owner was very accommodating and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. We enjoyed many days and nights sitting on the dock by the water. We found the house to be cozy and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again!
