Villa Stariδe, an elegant 3-level retreat, accommodates up to 12 guests across 4 bedrooms. The upper level includes two king-sized bedrooms, a cozy living space with office facilities and board games, and a bathroom with bathtub.

The middle level features the living area with smart TV, dining for 8, a wine bar, a kitchen, a bedroom, and access to a shaded veranda.

The lower level offers a private studio with all the amenities.

Outdoors, enjoy a heated pool, jacuzzi, ping pong, and garden.

Villa Stariδe is a stylish, three-level villa designed to host up to 12 guests, offering comfort, luxury, and incredible panoramic views of the Cretan landscape and the Aegean Sea. With 4 spacious bedrooms and additional sleeping arrangements on sofa beds, the villa ensures ample space for families and groups.



The upper level features two elegant bedrooms with king-sized beds, a small open living room equipped with a PS3 and board games, basic office facilities, and a bathroom with a bathtub. Large windows in all rooms flood the space with natural light and provide breathtaking views.



On the middle level, you’ll find a spacious sitting area, a dining area that seats 8, a bar with a wine preservation fridge, and a fully equipped open-plan kitchen with modern appliances. The third bedroom and a bathroom with a shower are also on this level. All areas have direct access to a large shaded veranda, perfect for dining al fresco with seating for 10 while admiring the magnificent sea view.



The lower level consists of a separate studio with a private entrance. It includes a bedroom, an open space with a small kitchen that can serve as an additional sleeping area, and a bathroom with a shower. The studio opens to a spacious terrace surrounded by lush gardens and trees. While all villa areas are air-conditioned, the studio bedroom is equipped with a roof fan for comfort.



Outdoors, the villa boasts a private swimming pool (heated at an additional cost), a jacuzzi hydromassage (not heated), a pergola-shaded dining and relaxation area, and a natural grass garden with a ping pong table and soccer goal. Guests can also explore the scenic surroundings using the two bicycles provided.



The villa’s back yard is a serene space with trees and plants, while the driveway in the front provides secure parking for 2 cars, with additional parking available outside the property. Fully equipped with modern amenities, Villa Stariδe offers everything you need for a luxurious and relaxing vacation in Crete.

The guests have unconstrained access to the whole villa and all outdoor spaces.

The entire property plus the villa amenities are included in the rental cost.

If the guest wishes to use the indoor fireplace, the wood used has an extra charge.

If the guest wishes to heat the pool, there will be an extra charge.

There is also free parking for 2 cars in the driveway and 2 more cars in the road outside.

Guests shall be respectful of the property and furniture and leave the house in a good condition so all future guests can enjoy it.

Scheduled pool, house, and garden cleaning may take place during your stay.

We had a wonderful time. An absolute beautiful property embedded into the mountains with spectacular views. The villa is very modern, spacious with lots of sunlight. The pool area is fabulous and perfect for a family. The beach is only 10-15 min away by car. We truly enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to coming back.

Despite the bad weather a nice house

Nice villa, beds are good and view is awesome, house is renovated except the bathrooms, agent was helpful with arrival ont the sms. We had bad luck first week in may, lot of rain en cold. But with a car you can drive around, nice places visited like Chania and Retymnon. And don’t forget Apterra with his nice archeological site.

Amazing Family Vacation

We were a group of 6 adults and 1 toddler and visited the last week of May. Our stay was wonderful and exactly what we wanted. A car is definitely needed to access this property, and if you're not confident driving a manual, get an automatic as there are lots of sharp turns on the hills. The main house was spacious for our group of 7. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking implements. The views from the property were absolutely stunning, and one of our favorite things to do was watch the sunrise over the bay. We were so excited to swim, but temperatures were cooler than we were expecting, so we did pay to heat the pool the last few days we were there. The location of the property was perfect for us. Great things to do were within a 30 minute to 2 hour drive. During our stay, we went west into Chania, east to Heraklion, and south to hike the Imbros Gorge. We spent an afternoon at a nearby beach in Georgioupoli. The only negative was that the listing mentioned the extra apartment, so I thought we would have access to that and be able to spread out more and have an extra bathroom. Unfortunately we weren't given access to it, so it is probably best to specifically request access to it when booking. Overall, this property was amazing, and our stay was wonderful. We had such a good time that we starting planning our next visit to Crete before we left. Thank you so much for helping make these awesome family memories!

Adverts across various sites needs attention all have discrepancies Vrbo advert doesnt mention property CCTV noticed signs on arrival owner has remote access he advised Vrbo didnt offer option to list. Other sites ie Airbnb do mention however agents own website doesnt & they control content He was happy to disconnect during my stay Other sites refer to villa being brand new it isnt, several yrs old & tired, would benefit from decoration, fixing kitchen cabinet & restaining sunloungers & cushion as stained & torn Pool floor has slippery area at the bottom of pool steps Outside shower broken, head placed on carport beam Pool infinity drop is a storey high & easy for kids to be curious & fall Shower door runners tend to jam Reported cleanliness of shower, dirt & mildew on grout shower frame, equipment & floor Easily removable Not able to use the wardrobe as smelt extremely damp. Main bedroom windows 2 look directly onto veranda, no blinds no privacy 3rd blind had no pull cord. Dont recommend for disabled guests shower not suitable & front step very high I fell, serious injury. Late Autumn Trip

We stayed in late October and still enjoyed pleasant war weather. The property is very spacious and enjoys lovely views over the hills. It is nicely finished. Whilst the beds are comfortable the sofa beds are not, so maybe don't count these if anyone will have to sleep on them every night. The pool is small but ideal for casual swimming or playing with kids. There are lots of steps so you need to keep an eye on babies but otherwise it is very safe. The local area is very quiet but there is a shop nearby, a small bar at the bottom of the hill and even a yoga studio. May no mistake: you will need a car!

Beautiful property!! Great Stay!

The property was amazing from the pool to the multi-level studio and the fully stocked kitchen and bar. This stay was everything we could have asked for and more. We took advantage of the pool, outdoor patio and open concept living room to listen to music and enjoy the full view of the country side. Would recommend to future travelers if your looking to be away from the hub bub of the city and enjoy quality time with friends in a secluded location. Could not have had a better time and stay!

Wonderful flat in Crete!

A really beautiful house in a lovely location, with a view of the sea. House was beautifully kept, and the owners were lovely and very responsive. They even left us a whole meal of stuffed vegetables in the refrigerator, so we didn't go hungry our first night! Thank you so much!

Séjour familial

Super accueil malgré notre arrivée tardive avec une délicate attention: des dolmas pour le dîner du soir et quelques victuailles d’appoint. Nous avons loué l’intégralité de la villa Staride: maison et studio pour 10 personnes. Il y a 3 lits double dans la maison et un seul dans le studio. Les autres couchages sont des couchages d’appoint type canapé lit… dommage. Il y a une supérette à 10 min et la proximité de Vrysses et Kalyvès facilite les courses plus importantes. Nous avons pu rayonner de Rethmynon à Falassarma. Encore un excellent séjour en Crète.

Villa Staride is in a beautiful, peaceful, quiet rural setting with stunning views of the sea and mountains. You definitely need a car as the closest village with amenities, Agii Pantes, is a ten minute drive. Here you will find a pharmacy, garage, café and supermarket, which is very well stocked. From the outside we thought it looked small but looks are deceiving and we managed to get everything we needed, even soya milk! The villa is furnished to a high standard, was immaculately clean and has very comfortable beds. The owner gave us such a warm welcome and had kindly stocked the fridge for our breakfast. There’s also a wine rack and wine list! As we were there in May we asked for the pool to be heated, which we needed. You pay a daily rate for this. The view from the pool is breath-taking. There’s lots of space outside to sunbath and plenty of shaded areas. Pool towels are provided. The kitchen had everything we needed as we ate in most days. Very good Wi-Fi. Air-con throughout. The villa and pool were cleaning during our week stay. The only improvement to think of is that the bathrooms don’t reflect the modern interior design of the rest of the villa. There are a few houses within view however they appeared to be empty. We didn’t feel overlooked at all. It is next to the road, but you only get a couple of cars going past per hour. We only observed a family living on the opposite side of the road. The main sounds were from nature! Georgioupoli by the coast is the closest town, a 20 minute drive, and has an array of shops, bars and restaurants. Chania is a 40 minute drive and Rethimno around 45 minutes, both are definitely worth visiting. Chania has a stunning old harbour. We loved the shops in Rethimno. We would recommend the Cretan Corner, family run restaurant which you’ll find easily on Google maps and is around a 25 minute drive. Absolutely incredible mountain views, excellent customer service and delicious traditional Cretan food. Communication with Aegean Villas, who manage the villa, could have been faster prior to our stay as it could take a few days to receive a reply. On a few occasions we needed to send a prompting message to get a reply. However, their communication via WhatsApp was excellent when we arrived and during our stay. We received replies to our messages very promptly.

Escapade luxueuse entre amis

Superbe maison, fidèle a l’annonce. Petit village a 35 minutes de Chania. Jennie a été d’une grande aide pour nos questions. Nous avons passé une superbe semaine à la Villa Staride. Points positifs : la piscine, la climatisation, la vue sur mer, le mobilier de qualité, les lits d’un confort exceptionnel, le contact avec Jennie. Points négatifs : il manque un peu d’éclairage pour l’extérieur le soir, voiture indispensable pour circuler dans les environs. Mille mercis !

Absolutely Beautiful Villa

The villa is absolutley beautiful, in a beautiful setting up on the hill. The bedrooms are really spacious all with huge beds and really comfortable. All bedrooms had really good air conditioning. Jennie was in constant touch with us and always asking if there was anything we needed. One thing we didnt realise was that we could have requested groceries for our arrival (which Jennie advised would have been included in the price of the villa) and I would really recommend to do this as although there is a supermarket a 5 minute drive away it wasn't really well stocked with everything we would have wanted for our first night. Alternatively you can stop at Lidl which is on the way to the villa from either Airport. We were greeted with lovely fresh fruit and there are lots of condiments and oil left in the cupboards. The pool area is absolutely stunning with a really comfy daybed which is in the shade all day and great for having a nap or reading a book if you dont like sitting in the sun too long. Although there are a couple of comments about the pool being small it really isnt and prefectly big enough for a swim or to play with the children. The location of the villa is a little remote so you definitely need a car as really nowhere close to walk to. However, the remoteness is what makes it so beautiful and peaceful and a lovely place to relax. We had a car and there are plenty of lovely villages and towns within 20-30 minute drive. We particularly love Georgioupoli which is around a 20 minute drive from the Villa and a lovely small seaside resort. We cannot thank Jennie enough, she was really wecoming and always on hand to help us out if needed.

Sehr schöne Villa

Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Das Haus ist sehr modern eingerichtet. Die Lage ist toll mit Blick auf das Meer. Der Ort Paidochori ist sehr einsam und ruhig gelegen. Es gibt nur sehr wenige Autos, die am Grundstück vorbeifahren, fast nur Bauern, die mit ihren Pickups zu den Oliven-Hainen fahren. Der Pool ist nicht sehr groß, aber sehr schön angelegt und sehr gepflegt. Während der 14 Tage, die wir im Haus waren kam 2 mal ein Putz-Team, dass sehr schnell, gründlich (und noch sehr nett in der Kommunikation) alles gereinigt hat und frische Handtücher vorbei gebracht hat.

Sehr schön angelegtes Ferienhaus mit traumhafter Aussicht

Haben eine knappe Woche im November in der Villa Staride verbracht: Das Haus ist sehr schön angelegt mit Terrassen mit Blick auf Meer und Berge. Die Einrichtung des Hauses lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig. Auch wenn wir zu dieser Jahreszeit noch sehr schönes Wetter hatten, konnten wir leider natürlich den schönen Pool und die benachbarte Laube nicht so nutzen, wie dies im Sommer der Fall wäre. Das Haus liegt etwas abgelegen und ist nur über enge Serpentinenstraßen erreichbar; ein Auto ist daher notwendig (die Hauptstraße zwischen Chania und Rethymno ist mit Wagen aber schnell erreichbar). Die Betreuung durch Agentur (Stella) war sehr freundlich und die Tipps zu Ausflügen sehr hilfreich. Alles in allem ist das Haus für Individualurlauber die Ruhe und Komfort suchen sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir waren sieben Tage in der wunderbaren Villa Staride und wir haben den Aufenthalt wirklich sehr genossen. Die Ausstattung der Villa entspricht den Fotos und der Beschreibung. Die Villa liegt sehr ruhig in einem kleinen griechischen Dorf. Die Villa war sehr gut gereinigt und der Service jederzeit sehr aufmerksam.

Ruhe, Sonne, Wind und drei Katzen

Das Haus liegt an der Straße, aber das stört überhaupt nicht, es hat kaum Verkehr. Alles ist gut ausgestattet und gepflegt. Es gibt verschiedene Sitzplätze je nach Geschmack, die Aussicht vom Pool aus ist gigantisch. Zum Essengehen braucht man ein Auto, das nächste Dorf ist am unteren Ende des Berges, aber die Fahrt zur Taverne Aposperida lohnt sich sehr. Die andere Taverne hat auch einen Lieferservice, sehr praktisch, die Speisekarte liegt im Haus auf. Einen Supermarkt gibt es im Dorf gegenüber der Taverne, größere Läden in und um Chaniá. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen. Ach ja, Katzenallergiker aufgepaßt: drei Katzen leben ums Haus herum, wollen aber nur Gesellschaft und etwas Ansprache, wer sie füttern mag ... .

Lovely villa. Great views. Jennie was very kind and helpful.

The house is light and airy with a smallish but well maintained pool. Lovely views. Modern design furniture in bedrooms, living area and kitchen. Very clean and immaculate! Good quality bedding. Excellent air con in bedrooms and sitting room which was very welcome. Good WiFi. We had a very relaxing holiday. Jennie, the owner, and her husband were very friendly and helpful, and even gave us a little present when we left, which was so kind!

Breathtaking

Villa Staride stands high above typical Cretan countryside, up a tortuous winding narrow road frequented by goats and unchanged for centuries. Here is the perfect setting for the most fabulous villa with outstanding views and superb accommodation. We could not have wished for more, three beautiful shaded areas for breakfast, lunch or pool use. So many excellent options to eat out in the villages and beaches not too far away. The side roads are OK while the main roads are very good, no problem driving, we relied on a satnav. Well done the villa staff - superb

A wonderful relaxing holiday at Villa Staride!

The villa itself is modern and beautiful designed, the photos are not able to show the real beauty of the area and the house. The villa offers an amazing view! The pool is designed in a way that you can enjoy the nice view and we loved the natural shadow of the trees, the lounging area of the yards is really nice, it was an awelcome shelter from the sun, with fabulous sea view and a lovely cooling breeze . Jennie, Stella and all the team of Holiways could not have been more attentive and helpful before and after our arrival and the villa was cleaned everyday, the service that they provided was as good as any 5 star hotel. Can't think of anything negative to say - other than go to villa Staride, let holiways plan your holidays, relax and enjoy!
