Welcome to beautiful Englewood and Lemon Bay. Enjoy a freshly remodeled 2 bed 1 bath part of the house is, with it's own kitchen and living areas. It's clean, cozy and inviting. Located in a desirable area, it's just a few blocks from the water, 5 min walk from stores, including grocery, next to the park with tennis courts and a playground. We are just 2 blocks from downtown Dearborn Street, with its fairs, shops and restaurants. Bike to the beach just 3 short miles away!
Locaion, Location, Location!
Launch your board or kayak at the Indian Mound Park, which is less than a mile away, or the Lemon Bay Park, about a mile from the house. Manasota beach is 3 miles away, and it is easy to get around everywhere by bike. I also have SUPs you can borrow to get on the water. There are other couple of parks you can walk or bike to. Once there, sit on the dock and relax, or enjoy some fishing, which is the most popular pastime in the area by far.
The property is also quite unique in the way it was built at the back of the lot, sitting on higher ground. In my opinion, the views are more enjoyable from the second floor.
The neighborhood is very safe, and people are friendly. Having the sheriff's training office and statioin just on the other side of the park proibably helps. Regardless, you can see people walking and biking the area at all hours of day and night. Little kids walk to nearby school by themselves, which you can hardly see anywhere else nowadays.
There are public bus stops nearby. You can get to them by bike, load it in the front, and ride to your heart's content. Once in Venice, get on the famed bike trail, which can lead you quite far along the west coast of Florida. However, public transportation service could be better in the area, and it will take you much longer to go places by bus. Thus, having a car is advisable if you would like to venture out to nearby cities or explore other beaches and attractions of the area. Must be noted that Englewood is one of the last areas where you can park close to the beach. Try that in Sarasota!
Part of the backyard is currently being landscaped, neither noise or dust is anticipated, nor it will affect your stay.
