The Mandrel in Portmahomack, Highland, sleeps six guests in three bedrooms.
The Mandrel consists of a open-plan area feauring a kitchen with oven, hob, fridge, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and access to a utility with washing machine and tumble dryer, alongside a dining area with seating for six and a sitting room with woodburning stove, and TV, WiFi. There is also a study and a ground-floor cloakroom with basin and WC. The bedrooms include a super king size with TV and en suite featuring a freestanding bath, hand-held shower, walk in shower, basin, and WC, a ground floor double with en suite walk-in shower, basin, and WC, and a further double with en suite walk-in shower, basin, and WC. Outside, there is a non-enclosed garden with a patio, furniture and off-road parking for four cars. One well behaved pet welcome. Electric central heating with underfloor heating is provided, with fuel, power, and a starter pack for the woodburning stove included in the rent, along with bed linen and towels. Sorry, no smoking. The village is also home to the Tarbat Discovery Centre, an historic lighthouse and a 9 hole golf course. Nearby is the Royal Burgh of Tain which offers many facilities and is home to the famous Glenmorangie Distillery, well worth a visit! Portmahomack is an ideal base for touring the highlands with Inverness, the “Capital City of the Highlands”, just 45 miles to the south.
