Quiet Rural Barn Stay Near Cotswolds Pubs & Walks - Pass the Keys

Welcome to our 17th Century open-plan stone barn in the picturesque village of Ramsden within The Cotswolds, just a 20 minute walk from Wilderness Festival.

Featuring 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, generous living areas and cosy nooks, The Barn is ideal for couples, good friends or families with older children.

With two wonderful gastropubs within easy walking distance and Blenheim Palace, Burford & Jeremy Clarkson's pub The Farmer's Dog only 9 miles away, The Barn is the perfect countryside escape!

Step into the generous hallway featuring a cosy snug at the far end, with a stocked bookshelf allowing you to browse during your stay.

A few stone steps down leads you into the living room with ample comfy seating, a Smart TV (with Netflix included) and a large log burner for cooler evenings.

The fully equipped open-plan kitchen on the ground floor has all the amenities for home cooking including:
• Electric hob
• Double oven
• Microwave
• Fridge freezer
• Dishwasher
• Washing machine

Beyond the kitchen is the bright dining area with a table and seating for 4. There is also a shower room on the ground floor with WC.

Upstairs, the mezzanine hosts the main bedroom with a king-size bed, storage and a privacy curtain.

Next to the bedroom is a bathroom with bath, WC & basin.
PLEASE NOTE: the bathroom wall doesn't reach the ceiling, so sound and sight privacy are compromised if you are walking from bedroom 2 or the workspace! See photos...

Further along up a few stairs on the landing is the dedicated workspace below a Velux window, letting in bright natural light. At the end of the landing, you'll find the private second bedroom with 2 x single beds.

Outside, there is guest parking for up to two cars. The Barn also has its own private patio with table, 2 chairs and gas BBQ overlooking the field next door.

The Barn is a private, snug retreat with an interesting history! It is an ideal spot for four people wanting to explore The Cotswolds, or an artist, poet or academic in need of solitude.

The Barn has been frequently used by friends and family, so is fully-equipped for visitors who have been delighted with its unique ambience!

Guests have exclusive access to The Barn. It is a separate self-contained barn conversion, 20 metres away from our main house where we live.

Our lovely garden is accessible via prior arrangement only - contact us in advance for details and please respect our privacy during your stay.

Please kindly respect that our home is next door and keep the noise to a minimum. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am.

Please keep the entrance gate closed at all times to keep our ducks safe.

Standard check-in time is from 4pm onwards and check-out time is by 10am. We may be able to offer a later check-out or earlier check-in for an extra cost via prior arrangement only.

Strictly no smoking or vaping indoors please.

We're sorry but The Barn is not suitable for under 12s (except babes in arms) due to the stone steps and our garden pond.

The gas BBQ is exclusively available for guest use, please notify us in advance if you wish to use it so we can provide the gas bottle.

The log burner in the living area is available for guests' use. A small starter pack of logs, kindling & firelighters is provided from October-March. If you wish to use the log fire often or outside these times, please purchase more for your stay.

As with many older properties, the occasional cobweb can appear despite our best efforts to clear them. If you do happen to spot any, please just let us know - we’ll keep working hard to ensure the cottage is always clean and welcoming for our guests.

We can supply a travel cot & high chair for an additional cost of £25 per stay, please kindly request these at the time of booking. Please bring your own bedding for the travel cot.

Linen, towels & toiletries are provided along with a welcome pack including tea/coffee/sugar/milk sachets and snacks.

IMPORTANT: On behalf of our host at Pass the Keys, we require guest verification facilitated by Truvi (Previously called Superhog). Upon confirming your booking, Truvi will contact the lead booker via a secure link, providing detailed instructions for the verification process.

The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.

Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.
