Not quite as expected.

There is no potable water, the filter system in kitchen is pretty good, but recommend using paper plates. Because it is open air, there are quite a few bugs.

very lean accomodations

there was no water at the property on our first day. a plumber arrived sometime on the second day and was able to remedy the issue. the property caretaker offered to refund the first night because of the inconvenience. they didn't supply adequate toilet paper or towels. there were no extra sheets to change the beds. wasn't too impressed with that.

Thank you for your recommendations, Cindy. In this case, our submersible water pump failed the day Cindy arrived which we replaced within 24 hours. Submersible pumps usually last 10+ years so this is a very rare occurrence and here in the remote Caribbean, it is a major undertaking to source and install this equipment in such a timely manner. As she mentioned, we did refund the guest a night for the inconvenience. We offer adequate towels, toilet paper, and sheets with extras on request. Cindy asked for more towels which we promptly provided. In an effort to be more sustainable we are conscious of our water usage and try to limit excessive laundry and waste.

Beautiful jungle place

We had monkeys visit twice. It was kind of like glamping. We really learned to enjoy the open air experience. Plus Thomas was wonderful and shared lots of knowledge. He also connected us with Carlos who picked us up and dropped us off at the airport. We also had him for a tour guide one day. Amazing trip!

Absolutely gorgeous and amazing home!

My family and I fell in love with this home. Great location. A quick walk to the beach. The best part is sitting in the living room and watching the monkeys in the surrounding trees. The house is nicely appointed. The rooms are really cute. My only regret is not staying here longer. Four nights was not enough. Stay here. You won't regret it.

Puerto Viejo paradise

Stunning open air house with all equipment necessary, nice jacuzzy. Full,of birds singing near the house. Good starting point to explore beaches and forests.

beautiful house in a great garden setting

Beautiful house, very clean, well equiped kitchen, perfect for a group of 6. We enjoyed very much our stay, and would come again. Only recommendation: more towels would be usefull in this humid climate...
