The ‘Nest’ at Rock Hill Cottage, Farm & Studio is a private en suite guest cottage in a beautifully restored 125 year old stone farm building. Surrounded by gardens, pastures, lakes and moors in the hills of southern Donegal, the ‘Nest’ is the perfect spot for a romantic or creative retreat, or as a base to explore the wonders of the “Wild Atlantic Way”- home to world class beaches/surfing, ancient sites and wonderfully inviting Irish villages and culture. The "Kitchenette" (..Not A Full Kitchen Equipped for Meal Prep..) in the sitting room has a toaster, kettle, coffee maker, small Fridge, and a microwave, as well as complimentary continental breakfast essentials and utensils. There is one bedroom in the cottage with a sumptuous double bed. The Sitting Room has a comfy sofa, small table and chairs, electric stove/fireplace, and the antique marble topped cabinet serving as breakfast bar. There is one bathroom, which is ensuite, has a toilet and sink and a walk-in shower. Linen, towels and shampoo are provided. Outside directly in front of cottage, is a table and chairs for morning coffee or afternoon glass of vino, and a "Fire Basket" to have a wee fire and take the evening chill off. (fire materials are provided). Parking is directly adjacent to The Nest. - The Nest is generally a two person accommodation. However, the sofa in the sitting room can become a single bed if required for a 3rd guest. The price for the additional person is 50 Euro per day of the stay, and will be due upon, or prior, to check in. We can accept payment by cash or credit/debit card.
House Rules:
- Check-in time is 3pm and check-out is 11am. If a later check out is required for some reason, Please let us know, and if possible, with other check in's scheduled, we will attempt to accommodate you. - Smoking is not allowed inside. - There is free parking adjacent to The ‘Nest’. - Pets are not allowed at the property. - We do have pets and dogs on the property and would request that you notify/message us with your ETA prior to arrival so as to have gate at beginning of drive open and/or dogs inside. - As we live onsite in this beautiful rural and peaceful spot, we assume that guest are here to relax and rest up on their travels, and will generally enjoy a "Quite Time " after 22:00/10;00 pm...
