About this property

The Old Town House

A stunning Georgian 4/5 bedroom house with a beautiful sunny courtyard and private parking right in the center of Castle Cary.

With 3 floors, huge inglenook fireplaces, a large kitchen and sitting room, this spacious, stylish space is a perfect place to spend time with large groups of family and friends exploring a stunning area of Somerset. Just a stones throw from The Newt & Bruton, there is easy access to historic landmarks such as Stourhead, Longleat, Cheddar Gorge and Montacute House.

Arranged over three floors with a large, flagstoned sitting room, kitchen, sunny spacious courtyard and a glamorous hallway with sweeping staircase on the first floor, and the bedrooms and bathrooms arranged over the second and third floors. The views from the first and second floors over the countryside are outstanding.

The property has a pillared front door directly onto the high street and many features of historic interest such as smoking rings, a 18th century pot boiling system, huge beams, ceilings and bread ovens.

In the bedrooms are 3 super king beds, V sprung and Hypnos mattresses, and exuberant artwork and antiques.

This is an old property of historical interest, so please don't expect pristine paintwork and straight lines; but do expect a warm welcome, clean linen and fluffy towels. We live near by and will be available to help in anyway we can.
