This impressive property is steeped in over 1,000 years of history, dating back to the time of the Crusaders, with original beams and ancient doorways. You could happily spend days soaking up history here. Stepping outside opens up miles of scenic footpaths through the surrounding National Landscape; it’s a beautiful setting sure to bring a smile to any keen walker's face. The famous White Cliffs of Dover sit 7.5 miles away, and the seaside town of Folkestone is just 6 miles from the home with beaches, a lively promenade and plenty of places to eat. Group days out are easy, with Port Lympne Safari Park and Howletts Wildlife Sanctuary 14 miles away, while Dover, Hythe and Deal offer extra options for shopping, history and coastal walks.


Step inside the impressive main house to be greeted with a large double-sided lounge for cosy evenings, while a separate snug offers a quieter space. The main lounge is well equipped with comfy furniture, a TV, and a DVD player. Move through to the well-appointed kitchen, where pretty shaker-style cabinets and ample appliances cater to a crowd. The separate utility room provides additional appliances and storage to keep everything running smoothly. The main house also has its own laundry room with extra fridge and freezer space. Dining is wonderfully flexible in this retreat, with an intimate dining room seating eight, a dining room and lounge finished with marble flooring, as well as informal lounge areas that can seat up to 30 guests, and a permanent marquee perfect for hosting celebrations, which accommodates up to 90 guests and is temperature-controlled for all seasons. When it’s time to head to sleep, upstairs holds all six bedrooms (sleeps 25 guests); a master bedroom with a double and an en-suite (can add four extra beds), a quadruple bedroom (can add one extra bed), a twin (can add one extra bed), a double with a single (can add one extra bed), a twin and a bedroom with two double beds (can add one extra bed). Each bedroom is equally comfortable and versatile, and all are furnished with soft bedding. Two further lavish bathrooms provide plenty of privacy for the group. Both the main house and the apartment benefit from a gym and a games room on site, providing endless entertainment and fun.


Set above the swimming pool complex, the apartment offers bright, self-contained accommodation, making it ideal for extended family or those seeking a little extra privacy while remaining close to the main house. Enter into a light-filled open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where everything you need for a comfortable self-catering stay is close at hand. The modern kitchen is fully equipped, while the dining area has a table for evening meals. Plush sofas anchor the living space, creating a cosy spot to unwind and chat. Finishing off this space are the three bedrooms, including a double bedroom (can add one extra bed), a triple single bedroom (can add one extra bed), a twin bedroom (can add one extra bed), and two convertible sofa beds in the lounge (can add three extra beds). Two modern bathrooms finish off this home.


There’s so much to do on site that we wouldn’t blame you if you stayed put for your break! Enjoy exploring the estate’s lush gardens, large ponds with fish and fountains, and open fields, before taking a dip in the hot tub or swimming pool. There’s a gym, tennis court, and games room for those with energy to burn, and optional beauty treatments are available too. A large terrace leads out of the games room which overlooks the back garden, complete with seating. A shared laundry room, catering hire and mountain bike hire are also available to guests. There is parking in the on-site, purpose-built car park, which can accommodate up to 40 cars.
