Walk to the pretty village of Kirkby Fleetham which has a village gastropub. This is a great base, perfect for discovering the glorious countryside of the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors. There are miles of walks and bike trails to explore from the doorstep, including the coast-to-coast walk. Northallerton is the nearest town with its abundance of shops and tea-rooms or head towards Richmond with its cobbled market square, Norman Castle and Easby Abbey and Saturday market with local traders selling local produce.
