NEW 5 BED 3 BATH, WATER VIEWS, AND 1 MIN WALK TO BEACH! GAMEROOM IS THE BOMB!!

UPDATE on Russell Cove Cottage: Sadly the 1907 version of Russell Cove Cottage had to be demolished and this was accomplished in mid October 2024. New home is 5 bedrooms and 3 baths including an en-suite in primary king bedroom. We are in a family neighborhood and have a large yard for fun, games, and relaxing.

Construction is complete and summer is fully booked. First vacationers already loving the space :)

1st floor king bedroom across from full bath with shower.

2nd floor Primary bedroom with beautiful water view and king size bed and wait for it..... ENSUITE PRIVATE BATH with shower - I can't wait to stay here myself :)
Additional 2nd floor bedroom with queen bed and water view / another bedroom with full bed / and also another bedroom with 2 twin beds, one with a trundle for a total of 3 twins. 2nd floor full bath in addition to the en-suite bath.
Relaxation spaces:
*SUNROOM overlooking the river / bay where you will see lobster boats and likely some kayakers
*DECK adjacent to sunroom with same view
*FRONT PORCH for relaxing on street side
*BACKYARD firepit area with plenty of seating and 2 picnic tables for outdoor dining
*GAME ROOM for hanging out watching tv on big screen television or playing games - arcade basketball, air hockey, video games, and other games *COVERED PATIO AREA with hanging porch style swings overlooking beautiful water view

We have an absolutely gorgeous view of the harbor, relax with a cool drink while you watch the lobster boats bring home dinner! We are a mere one minute stroll to the beach - you can spend the day at the beach and still be close to the conveniences of the cottage - super important while with children. We have a wonderful yard for adults and kids alike. Our gameroom is pretty amazing, and kids will play air hockey, arcade basketball, video games without being overhead of the main living area. Such a bonus when it's time to come home from the beach, when kids are waiting for parents to wake up, or in the case of rain. Our house has something for everyone!

Our village boasts gift shops, restaurants, general store, artist studio, etc. Kayak rentals, deep sea fishing and whale watches available just down the street. As if that is not enough, Old Orchard Beach is only 4 miles.

Further details: Striper fishing is great! Enjoy ice cream and gift shopping. Lobster available cooked or uncooked right around the corner. Generations of families return year after year for the great atmosphere and fun of a true Maine ocean village. We believe that you will definitely want to come back next year, and we will warmly welcome you!

We provide a cooler on wheels, cart for transporting beach supplies (also provided), all linens, and paper/plastic goods for your convenience.

Home will now have heat and air conditioning without having to use window air conditioners.

Dedicated laundry room for ease of use and additional comfort.

This house has everything! A beautiful view of the Saco River from both the back deck and an inviting four-season room, a large, cozy living room, a dining table big enough for a Thanksgiving feast, a kitchen large enough to prepare that feast … and that’s just the first floor! First floor also has a bedroom and full bath. Upstairs there are four more bedrooms, each with unique and fun decor, and … a game room! There are games for kids of all ages! This location is perfect for a large family, family reunion or for several couples to have a vacation. While not beachfront, the beach is a one minute walk. The general store and Huot’s restaurant a five minute walk. Despite the size this house felt cozy and inviting. We would definitely stay again!

The house was exactly as advertised and perfect for the weekend we had in mind. The extremely short walk to the beach made it very easy to spend time there without needing to pack coolers and bags, with easy bathroom and snack access back at the house. There was plenty of parking for my friends who drove from all over and we had tons of space inside as well. Our only complaint was with the oven, which cooked fine but did require some upfront learning on how to control it and ensuring it stayed on. Once we figured it out, we enjoyed some fresh caught white fish that we caught Friday morning. I would strongly recommend this home for your trip.

New House is Amazing

We were the first family to stay at the NEW Russell Cove Cottage and it was fantastic. A modern house cannot have the charm of an old cottage, but it more than makes up for it in amenities! The new house has a beautiful open concept kitchen, living room, dining room that opens out onto a deck overlooking the Saco River. The new game room is fantastic, the new beds are super comfortable, new laundry room, the central A/C is wonderful, the front porch and patio are spacious and great areas to hang out. All this and a 2 minute walk to the beach! We had an amazing time!

This is the second summer in which we have stayed at Russell Cove cottage in Saco’s Camp Ellis. Once again we loved our time on the southern Maine coast. The brand new home which replaced the original cottage this year is terrific. The property owners are detail-oriented and in this rebuild they definitely got all the details right!The location of the property cannot be beat with water views from both the front porch and back patios and decks, including covered space in the back yard. The interior views from the windows are just as magnificent. A year ago we were beyond satisfied with the property and our stay. It is hard to believe that the new house made this year’s visit even more special. The property owners are attentive and responsive in every respect and we hope to return to this beautiful home in such a lovely setting for many summers to come. Thank you once again for allowing us the pleasure and privilege of enjoying your wonderful beach home!

We are a professional couple who have two AWESOME adult children. Although we are spread across the U.S. now, we are each born and raised in Maine and we love our little coastal village. We go to great lengths to spend time together and Russell Cove Cottage is the absolute best place to enjoy family time. While our original 117 year old cottage was no longer able to accommodate vacationers due to age, we undertook a massive project to create a beautiful new 5BR/3Bath 2500+ sq ft home with bed/bath on both levels, a dedicated laundry room, brand new kitchen with lots of counter space, our legendary beautiful views, porch, sunroom, deck, covered lounge area, and gameroom. As always, we will provide most anything your family needs for an awesome vacation! We will continue to stock paper goods, linens, toys, beach supplies etc. We were very sad to say goodbye to the original Russell Cove Cottage and also thrilled to introduce the new and improved version which will provide a family friendly retreat for at least the next 117 years.

Why they chose this property

Our village is a quiet, family oriented neighborhood with lots of year round residents. Great place to walk to the jetty, the docks, of course the beach, and yet Old Orchard Beach and all its excitement is only 4 miles away. As for our home, have made every effort to make this a place where families will cherish their time together and desire to return each year. It seems we have hit the right combination as families have made their summer vacation memories here for 2 decades.

What makes this property unique

One way, quiet street close to the beach. Great yard, view, fire pit, picnic tables with umbrellas. Tons of great sightseeing within an hour (often much less) and the fun and excitement of Old Orchard Beach just a few miles down the road. Enjoy all the action and then come on back to Russell Cove and Camp Ellis for a family oriented evening. Or hang out for the whole day at the beach. We have everything you need to enjoy your day, and wheeled strollers to get your stuff back and forth. You will be hard pressed to find a spot with all of the relaxation spaces we provide: sunroom, deck, porch, gameroom, and covered patio area with shade and hanging porch style swings. Relax in the shade with a cool drink in the heat of the day or venture out into the sun and play in the yard, or head down to the beach - just a one minute walk - with beach stroller and all the supplies you need for a great day on the ocean.
