Very niceThe listing was not accurate it was so much nicer than the pictures show! Does need a little work in the bathrooms But for the price it was great
This property was very clean and cozy. The view was amazing! The property was a short distance to everything. We loved waking up and having coffee on the deck while enjoying the lake and mountain views. The host was very responsive and easy to work with.
We loved our stay at this beautiful locale! The views from the house were amazing! What a way to start the day!Andrew was such a big help with any questions we had. He answered promptly and made sure that we were happy. The house is great! It has so much character and it is so roomy. The furniture is comfortable and there's plenty of places to sit, recline, and chill. The TVs work great and having YouTubeTV is an excellent way to stream entertainment. We watched a few good movies while we were there. The road to the house is hilly and scenic. It is so fun to drive these up and down roads when you come from a very flat place like we do. The location is great and very close to so much! We went to Knoxville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg while we were there. Being so close to Buc-ee's was also a real plus! First, for their cheap gas, and then for all the goodies! You have to stop by Douglas Dam and snap some pics. There is an observation area (two actually: one up high and one lower) where you can take pics. We didn't stop at "The Dam Store," but we got a kick out of it every time we drove by.Andrew's place is a real charmer! Be sure to read his description carefully so that you are aware of the unique tub in the master bathroom. Take advantage of this great location and enjoy the view!
Great location with a wonderful veiw of Douglas lake. House is cozy and clean and has a neat layout. Master bedroom is large and has a semi private (curtain seperates from living room) area with office table and desk this room leads out to deckas well. Bathroom in the master bedroom is very nice it has a step down old style bath Bath, it no longer works but there's a nice shower in there. It it is a big step down and step out so if you're short or have any problems with your knees you might want to take one of the other bedrooms. The second and third bedrooms are also very nice one of the bedrooms is close in size to the mattress bedroom where the other one is just a bit smaller but still more than enough room for people per bedroom in the same hallway there is a very nice bathroom with all the amenities that takes you into the kitchen dining room area which has nice appliances and plenty of counter space. The deck is really nicely laid out and there is a entrance from the dining room out to it great View good place to spend your mornings drinking coffee. Will be coming back as this is a great value for the price. If I had to improve anything It would be nice to see a hot tub added to the property as well as a TV in the larger second bedroom. When the TV's on out in the living room you can hear and see the light reflecting into the master bedroom so a TV in the other bedrooms would be great.
Amazing views of the Smokey Mountains and the lakefront - what more does one need?? Nightly viewing of the fireworks from Dollywood is the extra bonus. Well equipped home and perfect location to head down to Gatlinburg/ Pigeon Forge or to Knoxville.
The view of the lake from the property is amazing! The house was very clean and well maintained. The owner was easy to communicate with before and during our stay. We would plan to come back if we decide to take another trip to the area.
My boys and I loved everything about the house and the views walking out on the deck. The only thing that could make it perfect is a hot tub on that deck 🤗
This is a wonderful, comfortable home, with a spectacular view of both the sunrise and the sunset. You can also see the Douglas Dam from the porch. We loved this place and did not want to leave!

Liked: Check-in, communication
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
The lake view was good but the pictures kind of make it seem like you could almost fish off the deck. There is a large amount of overgrowth between the deck and the water. So yes this is Waterfront but the water in front of the house cannot be utilized. The owner communicated very well. I immediately messaged him about some cleanliness concerns and he messaged back very quickly. Super nice guy. However if I could show photos it would likely deter anybody from staying there. It was pretty filthy. I only express to him a few of the concerns. I don't blame this on him because the cleaning crew really should take care of this. Also, there was not a single water source in the house, possibly excluding the dishwasher because we did not use it, that did not have an issue. Every faucet in the entire house leaked or sprayed everywhere, the hot tub does not work, the toilet in the master bath leaked (that was fun to learn at 2:00 a.m. after getting your socks wet) and the toilet in the guest bath wobbles and bangs around. As soon as you walk in the house the entire Place smells musty. The back sliding door does not lock or at least we couldn't get it to and neither does the deadbolt to the main entrance. The carpets were absolutely filthy with large stains and large carpet wrinkles. I could keep going but I'm almost out of space.

Thanks for your feedback. During the booking process you must have missed the reviews and information we send out about the lake access. The lake is not as close as it looks and is not easily reachable even if we cleared the trees due to the hill which is why we provide options for access through the neighborhood boat ramp or a couple of close locations along the lake. On the cleanliness issues you pointed out I offered to have the cleaners come back out and fix the issues and you said that wasn't necessary. Our cleaners overall do a pretty good job but on occasion they do miss a few things. On the faucet leaks, they are being addressed by our plumber but we were unaware of the toilet leak but it was fixed after you checked out. The house is older but both the sliding door lock and deadbolt lock both work. The house is in a very safe neighborhood and most of our guests enjoy the views from the back deck.
Thanks again and safe travels in the future.
Coming from Chicago area we were really looking for the views and were not disappointed. The home was perfect for our needs and we loved sitting on the deck. Some reviews mentioned the driveway and trouble backing out to the street but we had no problems at all. Location was peaceful which was needed after dealing with the Thanksgiving weekend traffic.
