About this property

Stay at the "SILLY OL' BEAR" cabin and enjoy a day at Yosemite or Bass Lake

Venture into our version of the 100 acre wood & Winnie the Pooh along with all his friends. Rediscover the joys of family life, the value of friendship and to appreciate the simple pleasures in life. Our cabin sits on a fully enclosed yard of just under 1 acre surrounded by large white oak trees. Enjoy a day hiking at Yosemite or swimming at the lake, then return to a relaxing evening BBQing, playing games, or star gazing in the backyard. Our 3 bedroom 2 bathroom cabin was built in 1959 which give it alot of "woodsy" character. There has been modern updates but still does retain the feel of old fashion cabin living. Located less than 3 miles above the center of Oakhurst, 4.5 to Bass lake Forks Resort and 18 mile to the south gate Yosemite entrance. There will be plenty to do during your stay. We look forward to sharing our place with you, where you can make memories to last a lifetime.

Grew up in a small town and moved to an even smaller town, Coarsegold, 17 years ago. Being able to work in the same small town gives me plenty of time to do what I enjoy, gardening & hiking.

Why they chose this property

Our family spent almost every summer vacationing at Bass Lake. Camping, learning to ski and swimming at the lake were such a big part of my childhood , I decided to purchase a home in the area where I could enjoy those things once again. Since I am unable to spend all my time at my vacation home, I would like to share it with others. Great memories are the best part of looking back on our lives.
