Yosemite Creekside Cottage Oakhurst - Bass Lake Pets OK

We are located 3 miles from Oakhurst, 11 miles from the south gate of Yosemite National Park, and 4 miles from popular Bass Lake. Perfect for those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of the city or just a stopover on the way to Yosemite.

Located on Lewis Creek at 3000' elevation offers cool summers and mild winters. Listen to the sound of the water from the year-around creek running through the rear of the property or enjoy sipping your evening wine watching the tranquil water flowing downstream. The quiet neighborhood has a private park just 1/2 block away with a waterfall and swimming hole great for children, either 2 or 4-legged, where they can safely experience nature. The accommodations are perfect for two. There is a large bathroom with a claw foot tub, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private patio with a BBQ. There are several restaurants in Oakhurst as well as dining at Bass Lake. You'll have complete access to Lewis Creek to enjoy during your leisure time. The house below is also a BnB. The two houses are completely separate from one another sharing nothing except the entrance to the driveway.

The property was so welcoming our host was wonderful in answering questions and providing us with a clean and cozy environment. The neighborhood was wonderful, we enjoyed connecting with local and visiting people. The creek behind the cottage was our favorite we enjoyed coffee early in the morning and before sunset. Make sure you pay attention to the water feeders as many hummingbirds stop by to visit!

Great location to Bass Lake, Oakhurst or short drive to Yosemite. We just got away for a short weekend and it was so relaxing! The creek was beautiful. OH the peanut butter cookies they left us were, gone quickly!

Loved staying at this charming cottage. It was the perfect place for our weekend trip to Yosemite. I really appreciate that the host is pet-friendly. It’s nice to include our little pup on these getaways. The cottage has everything you need for cozy nights after a long day of exploring Yosemite. The property is beautiful and it was nice to enjoy our coffee down at the creek. Also appreciate that the bed is actually very comfortable. Thank you for offering this perfect little cottage.

We loved our experience here. Cute little place that had everything you needed for a great stay. When we arrived we arrived to a warm cottage with music playing, a candle lit and the best sugar cookies I’ve ever had. The place was very clean. Very comfy bed and a heater that worked perfectly. Will definitely be back! :)

I celebrate my birthday every year in Yosemite and was looking for a cozy cottage close to the park. This cottage was perfect. The location was great with easy access to the highway but still keeping a quiet neighborhood in place. The check in was easy and the cottage was adorable. I was greeted with a welcome note and a plate of cookies. The kitchen was quaint and was stocked with all I needed. The bathtub was so relaxing and the bed was completely comfortable with great pillows. I would recommend this home for anyone looking for a cozy and quaint spot near the South entrance of Yosemite or to enjoy the Sugar Pine Train.

Wow! What a gem of a spot. It’s quaint but has everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is a proper size—not just a kitchenette—and the bathroom is spacious as well. Every little detail felt so thoughtful, making the whole place incredibly cozy.The bed and pillows… goodness, I can’t say enough. So, so comfortable—I especially loved the pillows. After a long hike, the bathroom was a treat with bath bombs, shampoo, shower gel, and a great variety of amenities ready for use.The location is wonderful too. We loved that it was close to town, yet felt tucked away in nature. The creek behind the house is beautiful—just don’t forget bug spray because the mosquitoes were out in full force. One magical touch was seeing deer at night before entering the property, which made it feel extra special.Our host, Kadi/Luana, was absolutely wonderful—so welcoming, attentive, and thoughtful in every way. You can really feel the care that went into making this place comfortable for guests.The only minor downside was the driveway; our car is a low-rider, and if you don’t angle it right, it can scrape the bottom. But honestly, that’s such a small thing compared to how amazing everything else was.Overall, this place exceeded expectations—I’d return in a heartbeat!

What a great place to stay! The cabin is cozy. Everything about it was so nice. The kitchen had everything we needed, the living area, although small, was perfect for the two of us. The bed was soooo comfortable and the bathroom was spacious!
The creek had water running through it. I didn't have a chance to take my dog "Cooper" in for a dip though.
Bass lake is less than a 10 minute drive away.
There were deer walking through!

This place is really cute. The space has been appointed well. We found it easily with the information provided. We were greeted with delicious cookies and nice music playing. We had all that we needed to cook and bbq. The creek on the property is delightful!Parking was a little tight for a big truck but it did work.

Very tight quarters and a bit dusty; however the hosts were receptive to feedback. If you're bringing a pet, know that there is nowhere to walk them out to pee other than the driveway as it's on a street in which people speed down. The entrance to Yosemite is only 40 minutes so that is great! The Mexican place on the day back is good.

Great cozy cottage

Exactly as described. This cottage is great for anyone who is looking for somewhere to stay outside Yosemite. Kadi has great communication and offered to allow us to check in early! The nights were quiet. I will definitely want to come back for another stay.

Having lived in Oakhurst for 40 years I know the mountains are in my heart. I am proud to share this beautiful slice of nature with travelers in hopes they will remember their Yosemite vacation as a magical one.

The Cottage is conveniently located 1/2 mile off Highway 41. We are just 11 miles to the South Gate of Yosemite, 4 miles to the popular Bass Lake, and 3 miles to the town of Oakhurst. The Cottage is quaint, and private, in a quiet neighborhood where you will go to sleep listening to the sound of the creek in the backyard.

One of the best creekfront properties on Lewis Creek. Easy access to Yosemite Nat'l Park and Bass Lake as well as many wonderful places to hike with your furry kids. A private neighborhood park is located a 1/2 block away on the creek that has a beautiful swimming hole and waterfall.
