Good location, Nice and Quite
Very clean cabin, great host and all the amenities we needed!
Tim was a great host (we didn’t get to meet Lois). He attended to our every need, which wasn’t much, since the cabin had so much already. The cabin was very clean and well stocked with paper products. The queen bed was very comfortable, the sheets were soft and there were plenty of towels etc. We will definitely stay there again.
Tim and Lois were very friendly. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Nice little cottage!
Awesome little get away for me and my husband.
We had a wonderful weekend! The cabin was clean and cozy. Tim and his wife were wonderful, very helpful! Would stay again!
Wonderful place, wonderful host!
It was a pleasure to meet the hosts and enter a well cared for, nothing missing vacation home. We cant't wait to have the opportunity again to spent time in this quiet secluded area. Thank you for sharing this place!

I Would Definitely Revisit This Property
First of all, The pictures didn't "thrill" me, but were we ever pleased when we arrived. I found the property owner is former military and I can tell. The Serenity Cabin is spotless and the pictures really don't do it justice. The cabin is modest, yet it has nearly everything you could possibly need in a permanent home, let alone a vacation rental. The cabin is on a pretty secluded street and we spotted deer, bunnies and birds of prey during our visit. It would be cool to visit during a time when the trees are bare of leaves to see the lake. I learned that the lake is purposely maintained to have no houses visible from the lake, which I assume is during the seasons with leaves on the trees. I wondered how it would work with the owners nearby and it worked out great. We met Tim when we arrived and he asked if we needed anything and we couldn't think of anything at first. I wanted to make some homemade salsa and didn't see a food processor anywhere so I asked Tim if he had one and he brought one immediately. Sweeeeeet! The only thing I didn't find was a peeler to peel some cucumbers, but I found a paring knife that worked. I didn't see any shampoo like a hotel would have, but we brought some anyway. There IS soap, plenty of paper towels and cleaning supplies. There is also ample amount of bedding if it gets cold. I can't say enough about how clean the Serenity Cabin is. It gives the impression that it is a brand new property. There is a cool fire pit with firewood outside that we never got around to using because we spent a lot of time out in Marengo and French Lick. My wife really enjoyed the screened in porch each morning as it provided shade and a cool breeze. I liked getting out very late in the evening to look at the stars which is amazing, being away from the city lights. My wife, 3 grandsons and I spent most of our time in the cabin playing games at the dining table. We brought our own games, but there are some games available at the cabin. Tim was very cordial and willing to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. He brought a frisbee and kick ball over for our teenage grandsons to play with. My grandsons really liked the sleeper sofa, even better than the twin beds in the separate bedroom. I noticed a fish cleaning table outside by the white picket fence. We used the charcoal grill one time while we were there and it even included starter fuel. Bring your own charcoal. We give 5 STARS and don't see why anyone would give less.
