We love it here. This was our second time at the property. It's perfect for our young family and is the ideal location for spending loads of time at the beach.One good addition to the property would be a clothes airer for drying off beach towels and wet suits etc.The kids have already asked us to book next year's holiday here!

Superb holiday in Cornwall

A lovely little village that is not far from the beach, perfect if you want to enjoy the relaxing days and bbqs on the beach. Also a great location to go road tripping to other parts of Cornwall. 100% would book again.

Great location

This was a large property and great for our needs. It is a bit dated and some of the mattresses were soft. We would have preferred black out curtains too! The access to the garden was through the car park and so the children needed adult accompaniment. But overall we would a good holiday.

Great great break just what we needed Little further from the beach than we would ideally like

An apartment with lots of space

We used Gwithian as a base to explore Cornwall and were not disappointed. We were not there for the beach or the surfing but if we were this would be a great location for those activities. The apartment was clean and extremely spacious and very comfortable. We met Tyson at his home down the road to gain access, directions were good and checkin was easy. The village is small and the area is quiet and the grocery store is in the next village not to far away. It would have been nice to have some soap/shampoo provided as when we arrived stores were already closed but all in all it worked for what we needed for our 3 days in Cornwall.

5 Godrevy house

overall it was a lovely little cottage with nice sized rooms however the description said 600 metres from beach and the distance was twice that so unless it meant as the crow flies this was inaccurate also the overall cleanliness standard was not very high there were no cleaning products left in the property so we bought our own there was no hoover or broom in the property either so not easy to clean up after ourselves the drainage in both showers was poor and filled up so had to turn off until drained away and the bed in the master bedroom squeaked on every movement and not a little squeak but very loud just rolling over could be heard in every room in the cottage not conducive to a good nights sleep we will not be returning as we do not feel it was good value for money

Gwithian Holidays is a family run business that was started by Trevor and Elizabeth Greenaway. I'm their son Tyson and have been helping them along with my wife Ruth.
Hopefully in the next decade our son Finn will start to lend us a hand.

Just a short walk from the sand dunes that lead to Gwithian beach and St Ives Bay, Godrevy House is the ideal spot to spend your holiday.

St Ives bay is renowned for its surfing and windsurfing and is well patrolled by lifeguards during the summer season. The beach is ideal for playing in the waves, large enough to find solitude and perfect for barbeques as the sun goes down. John Miller painted most of his famous paintings of the view from his home on the Hayle river along the beach towards Godrevy and when you stand on the beach you can understand why. Virginia Woolf was equally inspired, writing To The Lighthouse after a visit to Godrevy Island.

For those keen to explore the many clifftop paths and secluded coves then this area has much to offer. Gwithian truly is a place where you can get away from it all.

Godrevy House is situated in the centre of Gwithian village surrounded by a gorgeous old church, a restored Methodist chapel, picturesque cottages and plenty of fields.
Within easy walking distance is a popular pub, the Red River Inn and three beach cafes all selling reasonably priced meals. The beach is just a few minutes walk away and seems to be where most of our guests spend a lot of their time.

Just a few miles inland is the town of Hayle which offers a good choice of pubs and places to eat and a few miles further lies the popular harbour town of St Ives with its countless cafes, bars and restaurants.
