The property was perfect for our needs. The views were great. Ours was an Autumn stay so didnt use the garden but it must be lovely in the summer.....secure and no paths or road directly outside. Not overlooked...parking private and spacious...the property had everything you could need....clean...comfortable...great access to the beach and coast path. (We no longer have dogs ....i did think that i may have been worried about them bringing too much sand or wet inside as the door opens directly into the kitchen diner...so recommend taking plenty of dog towels). We have been staying on the same site for about 14 years in a row but the chalet we used to rent is no longer available....this was an even better alternative so we will definitely try and use it again. The host was in touch before and during our stay to wish us a happy stay and to check we has everything we needed. No negatives at all.

Perfect Stay

The property was well located and had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Lots of little thoughtful extras which made our stay so much easier and it was thoughtfully decorated too. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Had a fantastic week at Gwithian… our happy place. It has a definite place in our hearts. The weather was amazing and Cornwall never fails to rejuvenate the soul. 106 Pool was a perfect base.

Lovely Home in the beautiful Gwithian Towans

Spent a week here. Very lucky with the weather. The family all had a lovely relaxing time at this property spending some precious time together. The property had everything we needed and in a perfect location to stroll down to the beach at anytime. Great communication from host from booking to stay. Highly recommend and we hope to be returning

Superb location for the beach which was a 2 minute stroll away. The chalet was very well equipped and felt really homely.

Summer hols

The location of the property is without question absolutely amazing. The beach is only a few mins walk away which means you can pop down at anytime. Being further up the lane means there isn’t a lot of passing traffic so feels nice and quiet. The property has everything you need for your hols. The kitchen if anything has too much stuff in it and feels a little cluttered - there wasn’t anywhere to put anything. The decking at the back of the property needs attention, there where areas of rotten wood which was splintering and looks a little scruffy. The brambles on the other side of the fence are spoiling the beautiful view and could do with cutting back. Please note these are only little things for information- we had a fab week and the location is stunning.

Pool chalet was such an amazing place to stay. Pristine throughout. Everything you needed was catered for. It was so peaceful. Great walks from the door!! Comfortable bed which always helps. So happy to be allowed to bring the dogs to stay there too as they loved it as much as we did ❤️ Truely did not want to leave!!!! Hope to be able to book again soon. 😁😁😁😁😁

This beach hut is value for money. Great location. Compact. Dog friendly. We have returned for a second visit because we couldn’t find anywhere that tops this place. Will definitely return again.

Interesting and well equipped property in wonderful location

Had a great time revisiting an old favourite, both dogs were in their element on the three miles of Beach.As to be expected, a bit hit and miss with places open and the increase in hospitality prices is more pronounced in St Ives.The cottage/chalet had all we required and felt very homely, thank you.

Perfect place to relax

We have visited Gwithian towans for many years staying with friends in their chalet and were delighted to stay here now our family groups have expanded to include other halves! The chalet was just perfect, cosy, comfy bedrooms, a very well equipped kitchen, nice bathroom and amazing location. Can there be a more perfect spot for the morning cuppa than the deck overlooking the lighthouse? We hope to return!

Long weekend break

A hidden gem. Beautiful place, right on beach with a lovely cafe (jam pot) around corner. Louise was brilliant and accommodation was superb. Will definitely be staying again.

Great place, great location

The property was just as described and very comfortable. I particularly liked the kitchen which was very well equipped and the bed which was very comfortable. The house was very clean. All of our communications with the property owner were quick and easy. The location was an easy walk to the fantastic beach. We would definitely stay again.

Wonderful property and location

We were only there for a short break but pool chalet is wonderful. Such a great location to be ablentonwalk out your door and onto Gwithian Towens. Willndefinately hopentonreturn and stay for longer next time.

Perfect stay

We have stayed in Gwithian many times, and Louise chalet was by far the best location we have stayed. The chalet was a perfect size for 2 adults and 3 kids, and was kitted out with everything we needed. We will definitely be looking to book again soon!

The Pool Chalet

Lovely stay at the Pool Chalet. Great location with fantastic views. The chalet was found to be clean and tidy with everything we needed. Walking distance to one of the best beaches in Cornwall.

Great retreat!

Ideally situated in the dunes on the edge of the community with views of the lighthouse and sea, and a short walk to the beach to surf and exercise the dog. The chalet is excellently equipped with all the kitchen, dinning and entertainment equipment you require to make your stay easy and relaxed. Well maintained clean and cosy chalet which is dog friendly and secure with parking for two cars.

I am a professional living in London with my three sons and two dogs. Holidaying in Gwithian has been in our family for a couple of generations, and Chalet Pool has now become a part of that too.

I will liaise with you personally prior to your stay, to ensure your visit to the chalet is as best as can be.

My family and I have often spoke about having a place of our own in Gwithian. Chalet Pool is now just that. It is a place where I holidayed as a child, explored the landscape and rockpools, and then holidayed with our children, more exploring, who now love to come to the Towans as young adults, to chill, as do I.

It is a place where all who visit say the scenery is breathtaking, with each month taking on a new dimension of rawness, colour and beauty, be it the waves crashing over the lighthouse, the beach contours, or the colours of dawn over the hills and the sunsets out west.

It is a place where memories are made and cherished, and Chalet Pool will be a part of future memories too. It is somewhere different to be a part off, a beautiful place with outstanding views of many landscapes - the sea, Godrevy Lighthouse, St Ives, the horizon, the hills and adjacent farmland. An amazing all round view from the front and back of the property.

It is a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday chores and work. Relax, enjoy, chill, love.

Chalet Pool is conveniently situated on the Towans, within a couple of minutes walk of the dunes and the beach. It is set in a quiet and tranquil location, amidst priority coastal sand dune habitat and local nature reserves. It is free from passing traffic and pedestrians.

Gwithian Towans is set within a beautiful location of outstanding natural beauty and is part of three miles of sandy beach that stretches from Godrevy to Hayle. It is an ideal place for families as there are many rock pools to explore, and in the summer season the beach is patrolled by life guards. There is a designated surfing area for those with bigger surf boards, and surf competitions are held from time to time in Gwithian. It is a great location for bird watchers.

The dunes are great for dog walking. Some areas of the beach are restricted for dogs during certain parts of the day in the summer months (July and August 10am to 6pm). however the beach is 3 miles long, and there is still plenty of beach very close by where the dogs can be walked or can run freely.

Close by are three lovely cafes (the Jam Pot, Sunset Surf and Gwithian Cafe - opening times vary during the low season), and a good pub - the Red River Inn which has been recently refurbished..
