The Perfect Place if Remote is your Style

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was wonderful. If you are looking to get away from it all, this is the place for you. It was beautiful, the nearby stream was gorgeous, the and hot tub was a treat. It is a great place to reconnect with family or read or any other quiet activity. The gravel road along the stream makes a great place for a long walk.

It is about 30-35 minutes to the nearest town with a full-size grocery store and other comforts, so prepare for a good amount of driving if you need to leave the cabin for just about anything.

It was perfect for us though and I would highly recommend it!

Beautiful mountain getaway. Ideal for families and friends wanting to spend time together and apart

  • 5 of 5

We planned our Thanksgiving break with the hope of spending quality time with our family in the remote and pristine setting of the Great Smoky Mountains. Our expectations were

exceeded. Although satisfyingly remote, our hosts’ cabin offered all the conveniences we are accustomed to such as WiFi, TV and excellent heating for those cold mountain nights.

Our best moments were spent at the beautiful waterfalls only 1-2 miles from the cabin. The day trips to the public hiking areas couldn’t compare to this spot in our very own back yard.

We want to come back in the summer to appreciate what I expect will be a breathtakingly beautiful experience. Thank you to our hosts for their guidance and accommodations.

Relaxing Quite - OFF the beaten path

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 4, Absolutely loved this cabin. Loved how it was out in rural setting & the drive to it was BEAUTIFUL (along creek). The creek was down the hill over the road (can't see road from cabin), but you could hear it from the front porch or if you opened the window in the master bedroom (so peaceful) The cabin was incredibly clean & had everything you could want (coffee maker, toaster, pans, etc to make meals) We enjoyed the fireplace morning & evenings. Only was able to use the hot tub once (due to weather), but it was clean & well maintained.

Host were easy to get a hold of & even baked us a little treat to enjoy on our arrival.

Would DEFINATELY recommend this cabin if you want to be away from the everyday hectic life. It was so peaceful & didn't have people right beside you like other cabins I've seen.

Beautiful home

  • 5 of 5

This was just what we were looking for; isolated just enough at the edge of one of the country's most beautiful National Forest and Great Smokey Mountain Park. The town of Robbinsville is just the right size to have all the things we wanted to buy. Ingles grocery store there has everything you need but the house was so well stocked with everything there were only a few food items we needed for our family of 5. The hot tub was great. The water supply from the house had great pressure and the showers had loads of hot water. It's was like our own home but in a better location. The 20+ foot cathedral ceiling in the living/dining/kitchen area is awesome. The remote controlled gas logs in the large fireplace is a nice homey touch. Come prepared for a twisty road between town and the cabin. It's an awesome if slow ride on good roads until the final mile on a well maintained gravel road. The house wifi system worked great but be aware there is no cell phone signal in around and near the house. This is true for most of the area but near Robbinsville you will get a good signal. We told all our friends and relatives to use email to contact us. Satellite TV is available and works well too. There is a landline phone but it only works for local calls. We picked the perfect time of the year to come as the leaves started turning just a day or two before we arrived and by the last couple of days the Autumn leaves were in peak color. Absolutely perfect weather except for one rainy day which I enjoyed as well as a break from our travels. The streams, lakes and waterfalls were my favorite part of the trip. Enjoy!

Amazing Motorcycle Getaway right off Cherohala Skyway and minutes from the Dragon

  • 5 of 5

What an awesome cabin secluded in the mountains. A group of 5 were down for our 3rd annual motorcycle trip to the Dragon and surrounding area. We trailered our bikes down in a 7x16 box trailer and a 6x10 open. There's a good bit of room for parking but you have finangle the trailers around a bit to get them parked; Brad was there to help us do so. The cabin is beautiful inside and out! The cabin was clean, the beds were comfy, I really can't even drum up a single complaint (other than we didn't have enough time). Our group consisted of 3 sport bikes and 2 motard style sport bikes. There's about a mile of gravel road between the hard road and the cabin driveway but it was not an issue for us at all. The grill is a charcoal burner so if you want to cook on that, prepare according. We brought our own firewood and spent a lot of time by the fire pit after dark laughing about the day. We spent so much time on the motorcycles or at the fire that we didn't get to enjoy the hot tub.

Overall it was a great extended weekend trip and would recommend this cabin to everyone!

Cheers and safe riding!
