Great place for our family to all get together! Enjoyed the lake with pontoon rides, kayak & paddle boat. The sandy beach was fun for everyone too. Owner & property manager were very helpful.

Patricia and her family were a real pleasure to host.
We had a great stay this past weekend. Everything clean and comfortable. Lots of seating options outdoors to enjoy. Fantastic views of the lake and very communicative owner. We would head back for more fun! Thank you
With a beautiful southern exposure and sunny views of a gem of a lake, this place is very relaxing and welcoming as a rental home. The views from the porches are equally as inviting with plenty of spaces to enjoy inside and out. A well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds and bedding and the price put this lake house on the top of our return list!

Wow Jeff, that means a lot. You are always welcome back , and at a discount for return visitors. You were great to deal with and left the house in wonderful shape. Enjoy the rest of your summer, and come back anytime!
Great house on a great lake. We swam and floated right off the dock. Very nice Sandy bottom. We rented the pontoon boat and took it to the sand bar for swimming and went one evening across the lake for old fashions at the supper club.
.
The deck and screened in three season room were great spaces to hang out. The only surprise was when an acorn would land on the metal roof on the three season room and startle us.
Overall, great fit for our family to simply go and hang out together.
Upon arrival we were immediately impressed with the property. The size of the house easily handled our group of nine. There were plenty of beds, bathrooms and areas to spread out and find a comfortable spot. The bathrooms looked like they were recently redone. The screened in deck was great for meal times, and the open air deck was our relaxation location of choice. The lake was fantastic, it is a nice combination of large enough to go out and cruise with also being cozy and great for floating/relaxing. The location was far enough out of town to not feel busy and close enough to get whatever we needed. The only downside was the A/C was out during our stay and window units tried to keep up with a very warm early June. You will definately enjoy this place no matter what size your group is. Would recommend renting the pontoon boat during your stay if you are able to.
There are nice amenities, boat, fishing and a supper club on the lake. The option of a screened sitting room and full porch was nice. The house sits on a hill, so be prepared to get your steps in going to and from the lake. The property was large enough to accommodate a large group.

Nice small lake, but no beach for kids. Many stairs home-spiral difficult. Minimal kitchen utensils, not even enough silverware for 9 people even though listing says accommodation for 12. Exterior of house a bit shabby. AC not working.

Was there anything misleading or not represented accurately in the photos? It sleeps 12, that was not the size listed of your group. Lots of of additional plastic silverware avalable.. AC failed and we immediately installed multiple window units until a brand new expensive central air could be put it (which is complete). We provide a VERY detailed explanation of the property, dozens of photos and never said we had a beach on site. This feels underhanded, picky and prissy from someone who didn't research the property or other reviews prior.
Pros:
Property was nice, lake swimming was easy and the water was warm. Plenty of room for 10. Relaxing, fun with kayaks and paddle board. Nice screened in porch and cocktails on the patio. Comfy common areas to lounge, video games for the kids, overall clean. Pier set up was really nice. Fire pit was just perfect. Property manager, Frank, was friendly and accommodating.
Cons:
Kitchen had used and expired condiments that filled the entire door of the refrigerator. During coronavirus/pandemic, we didn’t feel that was safe or sanitary. We asked permission to toss the used condiments out and the property manager said it was ok, then 5 minutes later the owner Don, called to say it wasn’t ok to throw them out. We had already tossed out the condiments since we got permission from the property manager but the owner seemed really annoyed by it. He also asked us 2 different times during our stay if we brought our dog. We did NOT bring our dog as he shared that dogs were not allowed but it struck me as odd that he asked twice during our stay, like he didn’t trust us. I also felt uncomfortable that the owner asked several times over email for another deposit after I paid the full cost of the rental and the deposit through VRBO. He was asking for AN ADDITIONAL check/deposit outside VRBO bc of challenges with renters in the past. Finally, he seemed upset that my 80 year old mother arrived at 3:35 instead of the 4pm check in. I asked if it was ok if she came early at 3:30, he said no(even though his contract said renters could arrange to come early). Well, my mother arrived early any way and waited outside (elderly ppl tend to arrive early to things). He called to ask us about her coming early and seemed irked that she did. Overall, the owner’s tense and suspicious behaviors in this process felt unwarranted and off-putting.
The house, property and our time as a family were great, yet the owner may need to consider a bit more flexibility or open-mindedness in his approach with guests.

The rental agreement and security deposit language is up front and viewable on the web site, there are no surprises whatsoever and all renters should review them carefully. Early arrivals are always granted when it is possible, but because of a tight turn around 4pm was the time reiterated to allow time to clean. This instruction wasn't conveyed.
If a renter asks about a dog despite no pets being clearly listed, I politely explain because of my wife's allergies they would be welcome to use the kennel outside. If I am asked about a dog multiple times it makes me believe there is a high probability rules are being ignored. Most of our guests like the fact that there is extra condiments available given its hard to remember to bring everything. The home is professionally cleaned and my hope would be that any concerns could be avoided by not using the condiments in the refrigerator. I would caution all hosts about this guests unwillingness to read advertised rules, policies etc...and then write critical reviews regarding those very policies they chose to ignore prior to booking.
