We had an amazing stay in Durango! The property was beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for our family getaway. The stocked catch-and-release pond was such a fun bonus — the kids absolutely loved fishing every day, and it made the whole trip feel extra special. One of our favorite parts was seeing the train go by a few times during our stay — it added such a unique and memorable touch to the whole trip. The location was also fantastic, just a few minutes from downtown Durango while still feeling quiet and relaxing. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing mountain escape!

Nice setting, great stay

We chose this property due to the location and ample parking for our trailers. We met an international group of friends and really enjoyed our time here. The outdoor space is a great addition to the house.

Great location away from town.

Away from downtown Durango (~10 minutes). Trout pond had a lot of rainbows.

Breathtaking.

Well kept and comfortable. Only thing missing is a Keurig. Loved that we did not have to strip beds and spend our vacation doing check out chores.

River bend ranch excellent

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location was awesome. Close to town but far enough away out that it gave us enough room for the kids to run and play. One stop shop. Killer views, stocked pond, paddle boats and wagon rides.

Beautiful, well maintained property

The property is in a great location, conveniently close to downtown! We really enjoyed the outdoor barbecue area and the surroundings. We saw deer hanging out near the pond almost every night. Seeing the train go by every day was really cool and inspired us to take a ride on it ourselves! The only complaint I have is the pots and pans were really scratched up and worn out. Other than that the cabin was very clean and cozy - especially the recliners!

House fit to live in with all amenities including handmade soaps. The hosts were so gracious and fun that we had a barbecue together before we left. To summit up in one word, unequaled!

Beautiful setting outside of Durango

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the location and views from the deck. It was quick to get into town when we wanted to go in for dinner. The cabin was clean and had all the necessities. It was nice to find a place that was one level and had grounds you could easily walk around outside. We were traveling with my parents who both use canes and they loved walking down to the pond and sitting under the willow tree. Thank you for such a great stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I got engaged in durango and absolutely love the area. This rental was great. Close to town but far enough away to see the stars,, the property was in overall excellent shape. The owners are very nice and accommodating. However we were told we would be the only people on the property, this was not the case. There was a very friendly maintenance crew there every day from sun up to sun down. This made it hard to really relax and enjoy our one on one time. As they were up on the cover deck and moving piles of wood around the house. We brought our two dogs and found it difficult to go outside and really enjoy ourselves.

Beautiful Place, needs a few updates.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was nice and the location is beautiful. I loved being able to fish in my back yard. A few things that would have made the stay better. Air Conditioning! It got up to 90 degrees and it was hard to enjoy the cabin when it's hot.Water filter because he water smelled like blood and turned orange. Basics like salt and pepper and paper towels should be provided. I left some for the next people.Property is right by a busy freeway and Train that blows horn throughout the day. I wasn't bothered too much by it because I live by trains but you should be aware if you are expecting a quiet place.Overall I am satisfied with the stay but probably wouldn't go back without there being some changes.

I appreciate your constructive comments on areas for improvement. I’m sorry to hear about the issues with the heat; I can understand how that would impact your comfort. We will certainly look into the possibility of adding portable air conditioning. The water smell and discoloration are concerning, and we have investigated filters to address this issue. Your suggestion to provide basics like salt, pepper, and paper towels is noted, and we'll make sure future guests have these essentials; I'm sorry our starter supplies was missed in this instance as paper towels should always be present - but we do not stock with seasonings and spices. We also understand that the proximity to the freeway and train might not suit everyone seeking a quiet getaway. We will make sure to include this information more clearly in our property description. Thank you for leaving some supplies for the next guests and for your honest feedback. We value your input and will work on making the necessary changes to improve the experience for future guests. -Mackey
