Peaceful is the operative word. We were a big group of 7 and it was very roomy. Loved the views. Staff answered all questions promptly. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for everything!!
The property was gorgeous. The location close to Rocky Mountain was superb. Many of the expectations of the management I found frustrating-- it was expected to clean all kitchen surfaces and appliances before we left but there were no cleaning supplies except paper towels and dish soap!

Hi, We don't ask guest to clean the kitchen.
We just ask you start the dishwasher.
This property had everything we needed for a little family reunion of adults. We loved the views and the secluded location while still being close to town and the park. It was helpful that the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, etc to cook a lot of big family meals. We enjoyed the fireplace, jigsaw puzzles, and being able to watch the Olympics on TV while we were there. The property is dated, and one of the beds was quite uncomfortable for one of the couples in our party, but this place served our purposes just fine as a home base in Estes.
We had a conference across the street at the YMCA. The house was clean and comfortable. Not the most modern, and that’s just fine- the price compared to others in the area suggested that. Literally the only bummer was picking up and dropping off keys in town. No big deal, but less convenient than most VRBOs.
Seth was super responsive and everything was comfortable and worked great. I would definitely recommend the house.
This house was very spacious for 5 adults and one teen. It's rustic but well stocked and everything worked.
The bedrooms were all comfortable; having 3 full baths was great. Lots of room in the living room (plus extra living room downstairs); huge dining table; roomy kitchen with everything we needed. On a very quiet road above highway 66 with lots of space between houses; never heard a sound from a neighboring house, just occasional happy sounds from the Y across the highway. Quick access to RMNP and town' also found a great hike just a mile away from east portal to Sprague lake in RMNP without driving into RMNP. Three huge elk hanging out next to driveway one afternoon. Keys picked up/dropped off at management office in town rather than key lockbox or keycode at house, but pick up was made easy and office was very responsive to questions before and during stay.
location and views were perfect, the house needs upkeep
We stayed in this house for a week and thoroughly enjoyed the location and views. We were disappointed as the dishwasher was broken upon our arrival and the oven hardly worked. In fact by the last couple of days the oven completely stopped working forcing us to throw away some of the food we had bought. The kitchen tools were very dated. We took advantage of the nearby trout fishing and could hardly filet our fish because of the poor quality in the kitchen knifes. We also were disappointed in the amount of linens provided. We were given 1 pillow person and they were very flat. 1 thin blanket and sheet per bed was provided which also felt insufficient during a couple cool evenings. Lastly, the months in the house were out of control. They were everywhere! Every morning we woke up there were several dead in the kitchen and bathrooms. Overall, the location and views saved our stay however the conveniences and upkeep inside the house need work.

We appreciate your feedback. The blankets we can explain, this year, due to Covid-19 we are only supplying items that can be washed after every guest stay, which we have emailed to each guest before their arrival.

Beautiful views, but not a comfortable stay
The views were fantastic and it is very close proximity to the park. However, the cabin smells kind of gross and is very dusty. I had a nosebleed the whole time I was there. Seems like they do the bare minimum of cleaning on between guests. Many of the dishes and utensils had crusted food on them. Some of the spices in the cabinet were too old to be safe (containers said 1970s). The beds were rock hard and and least one of them sloped down towards the foot of the bed. I was in the corner room and I could hear some sort of animal walking on the ceiling, so there is probably someone living or nesting under the roof. The driveway was in terrible shape and really should come with a warning. The taxidermied bear on the piano also needs to be disclosed. It was a horrifying moment opening the door to a dead animal. I gave communication 1 star because there wasn't any. I never heard anything beyond the initial rental confirmation email.
This is a great location with easy access to horseback riding and hiking at the East Portal to the Park. The Property did have some water on the floor in the downstairs bathroom after a severe cloud burst due to a drainage problem on the back wall. Overall, we really enjoyed staying there.
Greet property with magnificent views. Close to Rocky national park and many wonderful hikes. House is perfect for 2 families and has a cute rustic feel to it.
Very clean property with amazing views of the Rockies. Kitchen was stocked with everything and it was a perfect layout with enough space for everyone to feel comfortable. It did not appear to have AC but it was not an issue while we were there. Cools nights and a great breeze made it perfect sleeping weather. Would definitely stay again.
This property is dated, space is good. Lighting is good. Stove without lighted instructions. Light switch plates very dirty. Inadequate bedding.- one twin blanket for queen beds . We are tall folks . TV instructions missing. Only bottled hand soap. No soap for sinks, showers.
Great property and good location. Building is a little older with evidence of wear but consistent with other places we've stayed in Estes. We use Y-camp facilities so location was perfect. Had a problem with the grill but they brought a replacement in less than 24 hours. Property managers were extremely responsive.
Perfect house, perfect location and just a fabulous view. We loved everything about it. The house was more spacious than we expected. Just far enough out of town to really get away and enjoy the views yet close enough to go grab anything we needed.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Lots of time spent on the front porch with great views. This was everything we thought it would be. It's a cabin and it is set up like a cabin. I can definitely see us going back.
