Property was as described. Clean and perfect for our family of 14. Plenty of room and right on the lake. The only negative would be controlling the temperature of the lower level. It was much colder than the other floors.

We had a fantastic time! The house was beautiful and suited our needs. We had fun on the lake during the day and around the fire pit at night. The house was furnished nicely with a lot of comfortable seating to visit or play games.

Family Vacation 2023

We had a great time at Shelby on the Lake. There were 11 of us ranging in age from 13 to 79. We all had fun. There was so much to do and the house was beautiful!

First time Deep Creek family adventure

Absolutely loved the house and the location. We did call the office in the beginning to ask about recycling but unfortunately did not get a call back. We did find the center at the end of the week. There were a couple little things that we thought should be mentioned and left a note on the counter before we left. But none of them affected our stay. Again a beautiful house and a beautiful lake.

Plenty of room

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We visited Shelby with 7adults and 2 children,plenty of room. The lake and shoreline at the dock was very well maintained. You can walk into the lake and swim. The house is very close to the lake. The deck is lovely, the hot tub is large and clean. The furniture is well maintained but dated. We would choose Shelby again except one adult had a severe allergy attach, usually caused by exposure to cats. It is not a pet friendly property, and we choose it for that reason.

Family Reunion at the Lake

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My brother and I rented this property for a family reunion. The property was spacious, clean and for the most part a good fit for our stay. We had a problem with the stove cook top half of it was not functioning. After 4 calls to the rental company they sent a hot plate. Sort of an inconvenience as most of the woman folk in the family brought there signature dishes to cook. The basement was a bit cold and damp but other wise there were no major issues.

This was our second year at this property and we really enjoyed it. The owners made some improvements in the outdoor area and we spent a considerable amount of time using this area. The house was very clean and spacious. Our family enjoyed the large dinning room table not only for meals but for game nights as well. We used our boat everyday and enjoyed the houses location on the lake. I would highly recommend this property as a place to stay on Deep Creek Lake.
